CHAPTER FOURTY SEVEN

Nita and her grandmother were right now fighting and Freen was unsure what to do about it.

" I am telling you to go home ". Nita groaned, she was worried about her grandmother's health getting more worse than it is already. " I am not going ". Her grandmother was firm on staying, Freen could see why Nita kept asking her grandmother to go home.

The old lady required nap every time she does a little work, Freen wasn't sure that was it just because of her illness or was it because of her old age but this was not a habit of a healthy person.

" Ma ! Please I am begging you, go home and take rest, I don't want you here with me, I am fine here ". Nita argued once again but the old lady didn't budge, even if she went home, she would be worried about her granddaughter's health.

" If I go home who would take care of you, hmm ? ". When old lady said this even Nita fell silent, she knew her grandmother had a point there. " I can ". Freen jumped in between their argument, confident she can take the responsibility of taking care of Nita.

" Why would you ? ". The old lady asked Freen, yes she was grateful how she helped Nita but she was quite surprised that Freen stayed in the hospital for this long just because she was her shop's loyal customer.

" I can see why Nita is asking you to go home, Your body needs rest, I can look after her perfectly and if something happens I will call so don't be too much worried about her I will keep an eye on her ". Freen tried to reassure the old lady, she was still hesitant about agreeing to this, Freen was still a stranger to her.

" Yes, Ma ! You should go home, I can tolerate Freen's company for a while so I will be fine ". Nita added to pursue her Grandmother to go home, it helped, her Grandmother was shocked to see that Nita was fine with Freen's presence when the girl had hard time making friends easily.

" You promise to call me if something goes wrong ? ". Her grandmother asked one more time before finally getting up to leave the room. " I promise, nothing will happen on my watch ". Her grandmother nodded to Freen's word and left the room.

" Thank you "

" So you tolerate me ? ".

Both Freen and Nita said at the same time, Freen narrowed her eyes not sure if she heard that right, Nita thanked her for looking after her in her grandmother's absence. " What did you expect ? We are not close ". Nita shrugged, Freen was taken aback by this, she thought both of them were forming a bond here but she was wrong.

" Shit... ". Nita then mumbled when she realised that there is no one to look after her shop and judging from her grandmother's condition she couldn't look after the shop herself, Nita was going to suffer the loss.

" What happened so suddenly ? ". Freen got up, worried that Nita is feeling pain in her chest or something had happened to her. " Who will look after the shop when I am here ? ". Nita looked at Freen, regret evident in her gaze, if she hadn't fell sick and hadn't been admitted to the hospital, her business wouldn't have suffered.

" I have someone look after it ". It was true, Freen knew how much that shop meant to Nita so she asked her personal gardener who looked after her private land where her family was buried, to look after Nita's shop, that man had knowledge of it more than anyone else she knew so she chose the best person she could find and she could trust.

" So you finally succeeded in taking over my business ". Nita eyed Freen, she was not at all upset about it, she was rather happy but she didn't want Freen to know that she was grateful for her thoughtful gesture.

" I wouldn't have done that if you had just told me what you use for your flowers ". Freen grinned and Nita chuckled shaking her head. " I am still not telling you that ". Nita smugly said and Freen just glared at her, Nita could atleast tell her the secret in exchange of her kindness but the kid was still firm on not sharing it with Freen.
