"Ishan you deserve it, ab chal." Rishabh dragged Ishan from there leaving the couple alone, even Chia walked behind them. (Who here thought Akanksha would be a pushover??? I honestly think Ishan deserved it at this point...)

"Akanksha...I'm sorry for everything. Mujhe pata nhi tha tumhare saath kya hua hai, aur mai tumhe pressure karta gya." A voice crack of his made her understand just how much he cared for her.

"Nhi, thank you. Thank you for coming into my life Shub." She kissed his hand while her tears dropped on them, "Thank you so much for making the first move. For never asking me anything. Thank you." She leaned her forehead against his.

The next day the other two left for India while Shubman remained there. Everyday, they spent every bit of time they could spend together. One of the mornings he woke up earlier than Akanksha. Finally, he'd been trying to wake up earlier than her but she always woke up earlier than him...but finally, he was earlier than her.

He walked on his tiptoes trying not to make noise and wake Akanksha up. He entered the kitchen, taking out a few dishes to make breakfast on. He tried to make pancake batter from scratch, but he kept making it either too liquidy or tough. He was getting annoyed when Akanksha walked into the kitchen, holding Chitra.

"Shub...tum kar kya rhe ho?" She looked at him in shock. Chitra laughed. "Papa buddu..." She meant to say 'buddhu' but couldn't say 'dh' so she ended up saying 'buddu'. Shubman sulked.

"Woh mai...mai breakfast bana rha hu." He had flour all over his face. "Shub breakfast chaiye tha toh mujhe utha dete..." She tried to enter the kitchen only to be pushed back out by Shubman, softly.

"Are nhii!! Mai tumhare liye bana rha hu." He pouted. She laughed and moved aside, she quietly watched him struggle from the dining table. Her heart fluttered at seeing his efforts for her.

"Shub...help chaiye toh bolo." He just shrugged her off. "Are nhi nhi, I'm fine." She watched from the side as he kept messing it up. "Shub-" He cut her off immediately.

"Akanksha I'm fine-" And the packet of flour fell on him. Akanksha burst out laughing. "Kya yaar?~" He whined. She finally walked into the kitchen, placing Chitra down. She pulled a towel from the cupboard. He washed his face quickly.

"Ye lo." She passed him the towel to wipe himself with. And he did but only his face. "Your hair's wet." He simply bent down to her level, allowing her to wipe his hair. She felt his breath on her face, causing a blush to rise up her face. He smiled at seeing her red face. He proceeded to tease her by taking a step closer to her. She avoided his eyes, drying his hair. As her hand grazed his hair she felt the softness of it. She didn't want to extract her hands but- his hair was dry.

"Ho gya." She whispered, finally releasing the breath she held.

"Pakka?" Shubman asked, sliding his hands on her waist pulling her against his chest. She looked up shyly, her hand against his chest. As their eyes met the world froze around them, they felt the other's breaths get uneven and in sync with each other's. Akanksha watched as his eyes trailed between her eyes and her lips. To be honest so did hers.

"Can I?" Shubman asked softly against her. She nodded.

Their faces drew closer and closer until there was no gap. Their lips touched softly, moulding perfectly together. Their eyes closed as they relished in the proximity and warmth. The softness of their partner's lip made them never want to let go. Akanksha strung her arms around Shubman's neck. She wasn't sure if it was too early to be in the kissing phase...but to her, it felt just right. Especially the way he held her, so close, so tight. The warmth and comfort was just other worldly. His arms felt like home and there was nothing else he needed to do to prove to her just how much she felt for him. On the other hand, he couldn't be any more certain that he loved her. They separated themselves slightly allowing for them to take a break, before they calmly held each other in their arms, foreheads together as some glances were also directed towards Chitra to make sure she was okay.

They saw her just playing about on the mat, sometimes giggling to herself, if not then she showed new things to the couple.

Shubman kissed the side of her head softly, making her close her eyes. "Shub..." He hummed at her.

"Ek jadoo dikhau?" He looked down at her with interest. He nodded.

She moved slightly away from him and led them to one of the cupboards...finding herself a small plastic jug of pancake mix. She pointed it out to Shubman. "Ek baar pooch liya hota. Aasani se ban jata na." She shrugged sassily.

"Are toh aur kuch bolne se phele ye bata deti." He whined. She giggled sadistically, "Tum khana banate bohot cute lagte ho...isliye. You, trying to figure things out but you just can't." Shubman pouted with squinted eyes. She cooed, standing on her tiptoes and kissing his pout away.

"Mere upar toh aaj bohot pyaar baras rha hai. Kya hua madam?" She shook her head.

She hesitated for a second, "Tum next week India wapis ja rhe ho na?" She looked out the window.

"Kyu? Miss karogi mujhe?" He wrapped his arms around Akanksha's waist, placing his chin on her head.

"Hmm." She replied. "Toh tum bhi India aa jao. Waise bhi next week tumhare graduation ke baad chuttian shuru hongi...so..." She shook her head. "Tumhe darr lag rha hai?" She nodded.

"Mai tumhare saath hu tab bhi?" She shook her head, but turned back to side hug him, laying her head softly against him. "Tum 24-7 toh nhi reh sakte na mere sath? Bohot selfish hoga agar maine ye socha bhi toh." Shubman couldn't speak against it...the selfish part wasn't true but it was true that he couldn't be with her all the time.

"Aur mummy bhi mujhe wapis bulana chahti hai...shaadi karane ke liye. Kabhi toh baat hi nhi karti aur jab karti hai tab humesha, 'Boyfriend hai toh bol' 'Wapis ake shaadi karle'. Agar mai wapis gyi toh shadi k mandap pe bitha degi." He smiled at her weak attempt at a joke.

"Ye batao tum aur aunty baat kyu nhi karte?" He asked her who nuzzled her head into his neck.

"Mere se nhi dekha jata unko, lagta hai ki unki life maine bigadi hai. Papa bhi meri wajah se chale gye aur...woh-woh bhi." She said referring to her step father. She moved away from him, beginning to cook the pancake.

"Ab isme tumhari galti kaise hui?" She looked away, "Mujhe paida hi nhi hona tha...Mummy ko bhi wahi lagta hoga, hai na?" She asked him quietly.

"Nhi- bilkul nhi lagta hoga." "Nhi unhe pakka wahi lagta hai...warna mujhse acche se baat kyu nhi karti woh?" She turned around abruptly.

"Unhe lag rha hoga ki tum unse baat karna nhi chahti. And maybe she can't face you either." He stood in front of her. She looked down at the ground.

He pinched her chin, slightly tilting it upwards. Their eyes met, "Akanksha tumne kabhi unse uss incident k bare me baat ki hai?" She hesitated but shook her head. "Nhi, kabhi nhi."

"Unse baat karo, let her know, aapne feelings, aapne thoughts. Do you love your mother?" She nodded. "Does she love you?" Akanksha hesitated. She wasn't sure if her mother loved her. "Pata nhi."

"Toh pucho unse. Baat karo. Agar dono maa beti hi aapne dil ki baat nhi karenge toh kya mind padhke pata karoge kya chal rha hai ek dusre ke dimag me?" She shook her head.

"Accha ab ye conversation drop karte hai...tum jao mai bana lunga." She nodded and left.
