Chapter 15

Richard had been waiting for Oliver for 2 hours already and he was starting to get more and more worried. He didn't know if he had to go inside to search for him or keep waiting in the car. He finally decided to stay in the car for 30 more minutes and then he would go search for him.

30 min later, Oliver was still inside and Richard got really worried so he went out of the car, walked to the door and knocked.
It took awhile but the door finally opened.

"Richard? What are you doing here?" Roberta asked as she opened the door

"Hey, I was searching for Oliver. We had a meeting 2 hours ago and he never came so of course I went to his apartment but he wasn't there, I also went to Loretta's but nothing so I came here" he lied

"Oh yeah well sorry but I didn't see him today"

"Oh okay thanks, I'll just go to Amanda's apartment now. Uhm before I go, can I have a glass of water?" he asked

"Yes of course, come in" she said as she let him in and went to the kitchen to get him a glass of water.
"Here"

"Thanks" he drank everything and gave it back to her
"Thank you, now I'll continue to search for him" he smiled at her and went to the door, discreetly looking around to see if he could find Oliver or Loretta.

"No problem, bye" she said as she closed the door behind him

Richard walked back to Oliver's car and immediately realized that she had him too. He tried not to panic and went back to his And Mary's apartment to talk to her about everything and find a plan to get both Loretta and Oliver out of this house.

When Mary came back home, he immediately ran to her.

"Mary! I have to talk to you!"

"Yes of course what is it?" she said as she put her bag down and looked at him, she could see the panic on his face.

"I went to Oliver's apartment today-" Richard started until she stopped him

"Wait don't tell me that you told Oliver" she gave him a look

"I did now let me get this out okay?" she nodded
"So I explained everything to Oliver and we immediately went to Roberta's house. I was in the car while Oliver was talking to her. I waited for him for 2 hours and a half and I then thought it was weird so I went to knock on her door. She opened it and I asked if I could have a glass of water, she said yes. I walked inside and looked around me to see if I could see something but nothing"

"Wait a second, are you telling me that not only does she have Loretta but she also has Oliver?!" she looked at him with wide eyes

"Yes she does"

"Richard ! We need to get them out of there"

"Yes but how? We tried today with Oliver but look how it turned out"

"Yeah, maybe we should tell Amanda"

"What! No! She hates Loretta and she's Roberta's best friend, she will tell her" Richard said
"What should we do?"

"Wait, I think I have a plan" Mary said as she lifted her head up

"What is it?"

"I'll invite Roberta and Amanda for a girl afternoon and I'll say that you're working. Meanwhile, you'll try to get in her house and save both of them"

"Yeah that's a good idea, I think I should ask someone to come with me, we don't know in which condition we will find them"

"I'll call one of my friends' husband, he's a kind of officer"

"Good, now when should we do that?"

"I'll call them both now and then I'll call my friend to see if her husband can come with you" she went to the phone and called Amanda first

"Hey Amanda, I'll be alone tomorrow, Richard is working, are you up for little girls afternoon with me and Roberta if she says yes?"

"Oh that would be wonderful thanks, is it okay if I come at 2pm?" Amanda asked

"Yes that's perfect. See you tomorrow"
She hung up, called Roberta and said the same thing

"Of course, that's such a good idea. When should I come?"

"Around 2pm? Is that good for you?"

"Perfect. Bye" Roberta hung up

Richard looked at her waiting for Mary to talk.
"They're both coming tomorrow at 2pm" she said

"Okay, it's going well for the moment"

"Now I'll call my friend" she dialed her friend's number and waited for her to answer

"Cassy? Hey, how are you?" Mary asked when her friend answered

"Oh hi Mary, I'm doing great, what about you?" Cassy said

"I'm okay thanks"

"You can't imagine how happy I am to hear your voice, it's been such a long time since we talked. I think it was at your wedding" she pointed out, that made Mary chuckle

"Yeah 2 long years. Cassy I'm calling 'cause I need your help for something"

"Ah! I knew that you weren't calling to know how I was" Cassy teased "I'm kidding, tell me, what can I do for you?"

"Your husband is still an officer right?"

"Yes he is, why?"

"Two of our friends have been kidnapped and we need his help to get to them"

"Oh my God, that's terrible. Do you know who took them?"

"Yes actually we do. It's Roberta"

"Roberta? Who's that?" Cassy got confused

"You know the girl who tripped and fell at our wedding, with the blue dress" Mary said

"OH! That's her" she chuckled "so this weird girl kidnapped two of your friends. Do I know them?"

"Yeah I think you know Oliver"

She thought for a while "was it the funny and kind guy?"

"Yes that's him"

"Okay I see. Do you have a plan to get them out of there?"

"I have one yes" she explained the plan

"That's a great idea. I think you'll need medics too, if one or both of them are hurt"

"That's what we thought too but we also need your husband with us, just in case it turns out bad"

"Oh well you're lucky, he just came home. Do you want to talk to him directly?"

"That would be great thanks"

"Hello ?" George said

"Hi George, I need your help for something" she explained everything to him

"That's a great idea, so I go there with Richard at around 2pm and we try to get them out of there?"

"Yeah that's the plan"

"Okay I'll ask to other police officers to come with me in case we need them. They won't come in but they'll stay around the house"

"Okay then see you tomorrow. I hope everything will be fine"

"It will don't worry, bye" he hung up

Mary went to find Richard in the living room and explained what would happen the day after.
