LISA POV
I gaped at Jennie and so did Chaeyoung.
"My.... my son?" The pregnant girl almost whispered. A hand that had been clutching onto me, flew down to her swollen belly to stroke it lovingly. "So Jisoo was right all this time?"
Chaeyoung's eyes lay with Jennie, yet her free hand was grabbing onto me once more. I lay my head down on top of hers to comfort her. "You're having a son." I mumbled into her hair and kissed Chaeyoung's head briefly even though I felt Jennie's subconscious jealous vibes waft over to me like an invisible cloud.
Yet, my impulsive mate didn't say or do anything to act upon it. By now she knew I was hers through and through. Those emotions were just hard to get rid of completely. She felt no malice towards Chaeyoung and our deep rooted friendship. My little witch just turned out to be a bit possessive. That was all.
"Yeah. I saw him. Sorry for ruining the surprise though." Jennie was standing next to the bed me and Chaeyoung were on, looking down at us and kneading her own hands in front of herself. She was feeling nervous. I felt it. But I couldn't pinpoint why.
I felt like that was my cue to get up and comfort my mate. Something was going on.
"You saw him? You actually saw him?" Chaeyoung asked the question before I could. I detangled myself from my best friend with a soft look to walk over to Jennie, taking her into an intimate embrace. I hugged her sideways, circling her tiny waist with my arms and she instantly latched onto me.
Yet, her mind was closed. Sometimes it really annoyed me that she had figured out how to still do that. Shut me out. I could still talk to her in our heads but I had no access to anything she was thinking beyond that.
'Are you hiding something?'
'Not now Lisa' She reprimanded me sterner than I had expected but I let it go for Chaeyoung's sake. Jennie and I could talk later.
"Uhm yeah. And he has magic Chaengie!" My mate answered the question that still lingered in the room.
"What... what does he look like? What did you see? Did you see Jisoo too? No actually don't tell me what he looks like. I... I want to see for myself when I meet him." Chaeyoung backpedalled quickly. "But why do you think he's behind my visions?"
I kissed my mate's temple and waited for her answers just as tensely as Chaeyoung did. Something had been in that vision that had rattled the witch. I could tell.
Jennie took a breath. I felt her shoulders lifting and falling with the depth of it. "Because he is. He made it clear to me very subtly that it was him."
"Is that bad?" I couldn't help but ask. "An unborn baby wielding magic like that? Shouldn't that be concerning?"
Chaeyoung's eyes went wide and she looked at Jennie with an anxious expression like one looked at a doctor before getting told bad news.
My mate shook her head. "I... I don't know... My vision was triggered when I touched you and you are very emotional right now. Magic is strongly connected to emotions. So maybe he was just feeding off of that. Means we should be more careful about touching you. Or at least be prepared for what could happen if we do. And I know it's hard right now with everything going on but you need to stay calm for him Chaengie."
"You think he can feel when I'm distressed? He never showed me anything bad though... just happy things." Chaeyoung was stroking her belly, deeply in thought, eyes unfocussed.
"Maybe he's trying to calm you by showing you happy things?" Jennie mused, frowning.
"What did he show you Babe?" I gently nudged her waist.
