Hyunjin watches over the clock carefully when the sun finally set down and the moon rises from its sleep. He knows it's near time to pick Yongbok up from work.

It's not like he's excited to pick the kid up from Wangjok. No. That's not the reason. It's only because he wanted to make sure the other was safe once he come out of that glass door from the entrance. Knowing some shit going on around that sketchy workplace of Yongbok's, Hyunjin just had to make sure nothing will lay a finger on Yongbok.

He's doing this as a friend.

The clock says that it's currently 6:50 pm and Hyunjin decided to get his ass up from the sofa and get his car key in his room. He made sure to lock the front door before hopping into his car, turning the engine on to have his journey across the streets.

While driving, he decided to turn the stereo on by connecting it to his bluetooth and played some music. It's been a while since he listened to some music and bopped his head into it. Suddenly, a tingling sensation of excitement coursed through his veins.

Alongside with Yin, Yang, and Samuel, music was the one he leaned on when shit goes bad and he's got no one to go to. And miraculous it may sound, but it did help him at some point. But it's only a temporary therapy. After that moment, he needs to go back to his reality and face the brutal truth of the world.

So to play some music now, it felt a little nostalgic for him.

The first audio comes in and Hyunjin was trying to familiarize it. The slow, sad harmony intro of the song made him smile sadly once he recognized what song it was.

Thought I found a way
Thought I found a way out (found)
But you never go away (never go away)
So I guess I gotta stay now

Lovely. His favorite song. The song that matches his life so well it fits like puzzle pieces. It's so weird to relate to a song but...he did. So much. It's like the song was actually made for him.

The first line reminded him of his past fake friends and his ex. He thought when he had them in his life, they will help him from the miserable cage he was trapped in. But oh how wrong he was. Those pieces of bullshits people, they only added more bars and locks to secure his cage. They secured this pathetic bird to not escape its cage at any moment.

So there's that bird now, just waiting for its death to knock him out.

Oh, I hope some day I'll make it out of here
Even if it takes all night or a hundred years
Need a place to hide, but I can't find one near
Wanna feel alive, outside I can't fight my fear

A tear came up to the brim of his eyes without him knowing. The song really just struck him straight to the heart whenever he listens to this song. He stopped listening to it thinking the song will not hit him any longer but it made him realize how wrong he was. It still hits. And it hits hard.

You're just being dramati-

SHUT UP! NO ONE WANTS YOUR OPINION!

Hyunjin simply wiped the mini puddle of water away. He let out a large, deep breath. The song goes on and Hyunjin could only feel his throat tightening as he was trying to fight crying over a song. He's thinking it will be so immature of him...or it was just a thought Yang has planted on his brain.

Later on, the song finally finished and Hyunjin felt relieved, yet still longing for the song again. It was a weird combination, but that's what he feels. But he didn't bother to loop it. He let the next song to play.

And when the second song comes in, a random memory from last month projected back in his head and made him a giggle.

The song was September. A weird song to mix with his shuffled playlist but whatever. And hell, he remembered the very first day Yongbok stepped into his house. This was the song he used when he was cleaning his room while Hyunjin was trying to get his rest. He remembered how scary and harsh his treatment with Yongbok before.
