All throughout the day, the two didn't had enough of their conversation even if they had to do some personal business like showering (not entirely letting themselves show their bodies while showering, of course 💀 even though Yongbok teases the older about it.) and while Hyunjin was doing some chores like washing clothes and sweeping the floor. Yongbok didn't even get tired at all. The two also shared screen to watch some series together and Yongbok enjoyed it thoroughly.
Hyunjin on the other hand, was getting confused as to why Yongbok wasn't stopping on talking to him even though he had to prepare for the important event later in the evening. Or that Yongbok has no set of plans with that Riki man or anything fancy.
Nonetheless, to Hyunjin's puzzlement as well, he didn't put a halt to this exhausting yet comforting call with Yongbok even if Yang kept on telling him to drop the call so Yongbok would insist on turning his focus to Riki.
However, to Hyunjin's dismay, he listened to Yin instead.
He, on the other hand, insisted on keeping the call for hours and talking to Yongbok as if he owned him for the day. As if there's no Riki to think about. As if the day is only for them to spend.
He enjoyed every track of second with Yongbok that he got freaked out realizing he indeed had fun doing this shit with his tenant. His “supposed to be” friend only.
Until it's finally afternoon and it's near for Yongbok to prepare for the party later. They're still holding the call while Yongbok was changing into his suit and Hyunjin was almost out of his sanity again to see Yongbok under those clothes. If it wasn't for Yongbok teasing him, he wouldn't go back to his presence and consider he might have some drool on the corner of his lips.
‘He surely does look like an angel.’ He keeps on telling himself internally while he watches Yongbok struggling to style his hair in the mirror.
“I badly want to put some make-up on him!!”
Are you still a hundred percent sure you're gonna let this beautiful piece of a man go, Hyunjin? You'll fucking regret it.
‘Well, that's how it should happen. I need to let him go for the better.’
“How could you tell that letting him go is the better option?”
‘I've told you all already for a million times the reason. It's so annoying to keep on telling you the same thing.’
"I don't feel like going to the party now, hyung." Hyunjin was awakened from Yongbok's grumbling, making him look towards the screen where a pouty Yongbok was flashing.
"Why?"
"I just want to spend the rest of the day with you." The younger male exhaled filled with tons of weight in it.
Hyunjin's heart increased a beat from that but he wasn't acknowledging that fact with something romantic.
"Nonsense. The party is more important than me. Focus on that."
"Nothing is more important than you, hyung. You should know that from my vocabulary." Yongbok showed his puppy eyes but Hyunjin knew all too well that there was a smug face hiding behind that innocence.
"Eugh. Stop being such a poppycock and get your ass ready for the party. It's getting near 6 pm and you should be traveling now and not talking to me."
"I don't want this to end because once we hang up from this call, I know you'll never call me again for the whole night. Like you always do for these past couple of days." And wow, that just hit Hyunjin. He was very aware of how he was acting towards Yongbok lately and he didn't care at all. But once he got called out by it, suddenly, all the guilt permeate through his system and drowned him in an instant.
