The two were in the kitchen, munching the delivered food Hyunjin ordered not just long ago. It was silent. But all the clanking noises of the utensils clashing together with the bowl was the only noise rolling in the air. It was awkward yet comfortable, but Yongbok couldn't say a word to protest about it. This is the type of ambiance Hyunjin prefers to bask. Honestly, Yongbok shares the same taste as Hyunjin's. Just take the 'mean attitude' out of the frame and everything will be in the same string for the two of them.
"Later, i will give you a short tour around this house. I will guide you the rooms you are and are not allowed to come in. You better drill it down your skull 'cause i won't repeat it twice. You gotta handle things by yourself and not bother me. Got it?" Hyunjin announced after chewing down his Chinese food take out, not even bothering to spare a look at Yongbok.
"G-Got it". The younger nodded shyly, stuffing more rice in his mouth to make his cheeks puffier. (A/N: Hyunjin is missing out the most adorable scene in his life).
"Another thing, maybe you'd think I'm being too much for taking advantage of you. So in repay, i will do the house chores. I'll wash the dishes, clean the house, and wash the clothes including yours. Does that sound good?"
Once again, Yongbok nodded. "Better than good, Hyunjin".
"Good."
Recalling about the deal, the smaller hummed and rethink. "But.... wouldn't that exhaust you? Wouldn't that harm your body? Isn't that bad for your....cancer?"
Hyunjin silently scoffed. "What does it have to do with you? Why? Scared I'll die in front of you?"
Yongbok whined like a feared toddler. "It's not like that. I just....i don't want you to die yet. I want to know you first."
The reason halt Hyunjin from raising his chopsticks, forehead making a crease out of confusion Yongbok brought him. At last, he spare a glance to the younger. "For what? That's out of the contract. You can live in here and treat me like nothing but someone who allows you to live in their house. We can make our relationship solely business."
"But..... I'm gonna live with you for quite long months. Of course i want to know things that....you like and don't like because, what if i did something and i have no idea you dislike it?"
"Then don't do it. Easy". Hyunjin deadpanned.
"But-"
"Don't push yourself too hard on me, Yongbok. Stop making efforts because it'll end up in a waste."
And that, Yongbok finally surrendered. Sighing heavily as his shoulders dropping. "Alright....If that's what you want."
The guys continued feasting on their dinner. Hyunjin thought they're already done but the younger's annoying sighs over and over is making his blood boil in an instant. He grunted, glancing at Yongbok one more time.
"Will you stop sighing the fuck out? Do you have any more concerns to talk about so you can just stop your obnoxious sighs?!"
Yongbok twirled the end of his chopstick around his noodle and slightly played with it, throat emitting a hum. "Well i uhh.... uhm....y-your medications. I'm just wondering.. W-Why you don't have any of those?" He pointed.
"No need. Don't mind it." The older nonchalantly answered.
"But why don't you ask for any prescription?"
"It'll cost fortune and i don't have that now so no."
The smaller sympathetically nodded, understanding the situation why Hyunjin couldn't make to buy any meds. Out of the sudden, an idea popped behind his head, a smile trailing back on his lips and looked at the long haired man excitedly. "What about this? When my first salary comes, I'll buy you medications for your cough and chest pai-"
