Day 19
Yongbok's P.O.V:
I still can't believe how fast the time flew and now, we only have two days left before this seminar ends. It felt too short because I'm finally enjoying my time here studying and learning from the best chef. And of course, because I've found the best people that became my friends. I'm really truly happy for what my faith has become here in Japan.
Although I got bullied by those annoying heck of creatures, I'm glad that they lie-lowed from teasing me and focused on their respective responsibilities instead of picking on me.
Yep, after that incident where they teased me and I told them “I ship them”, the childish verbal bullying has stopped and simply transformed into harsh glares and nasty eye rolls.
And…if you may ask me, they kinda had this weird tension going on between them whenever I'm noticing them standing next to each other. However, they're keeping a little distance from one another than they used to.
I'm not surprised if after all this, one of them will confess. Muwehehe.
But this is not the only bittersweet emotion I had to go through right now. Up until now, I'm still dealing with Hyunjin hyung's odd behavior every night and I still haven't reached out to him about my concern. I'm still holding back thinking that hyung might just laugh at my face while complaining.
He might say I'm too obsessed with him…which is true.
As of the moment, we're cleaning up the kitchen and all the mess that we left from our today's session and before we all could finish, chef Gábriel went in front and clapped his hand to gather attention.
"Alright, cocineros. How's everyone feeling?"
And the responses would be mixed of “we're doing great, fine, excited, sad, and Bien”.
Chef simply smiled. But his smile wasn't implicating a hundred percent mirth. It's a mix of something…sad. I can already tell just the way he breathed out for everyone to hear. "As you all may know, today is the second to the last day of our seminar. And we've shared 19 wonderful days together and learned a handful of things about cooking which I hope that y'all will keep for the rest of your lives." From that, I saw everyone's faces get infected with gloom. But I can't blame them. After all, we've all had a few fair shares of good and enjoyable memories together. Other than Riki and Yuqi, I was able to be friends with other representatives as well. Just not super close like Riki and Yuqi. "It was such an honor that I was chosen to be your teacher and guide for this seminar. I hope y'all learned a lot from me other than I cuss a lot in Spanish." All of us laughed at his comment.
"I've learned quite a lot of curses thanks to him. Hijo de puta." Riki smirked and both of us shared little giggles.
"I love bruja and mierda more." Yuqi claimed.
"Nonetheless, I have great news for y'all. Tomorrow, at 6 pm, we will be having a farewell party!"
And as expected, everyone clapped and cheered, excited and totally anticipating for what's about to come tomorrow.
Oh my Gosh, a party? I'm so excited!!!
Oh shi, what am I gonna wear? I don't have anything formal enough for a party suit.
"It'll be held here as well so we can relish our memories in this place for the last time. So, get home now. Tomorrow, dress to impress, and we'll be drowning in booze!" Another round of applause echoed throughout the kitchen as they all rambled with their stuff and was ready to dash out of our place.
