Chapter 1: The Wedding

It's been a month since Kris has been crowned as the king and he can't say he enjoys the responsibilities that comes with it... not that much. Good thing he gets some help from his friends.

Three weeks ago, sabay-sabay na nagbitiw sa pwesto nila ang Lord Chancellor, Keeper of the Seals, Lord High Admiral, Grand Master of Artillery, at Marshal. Sumakit ang ulo nun ni Kris dahil isang linggo pa lang naman siya sa trono at nag-aadjust pa, tapos aalis ang mga ito na ang dinahilan ay nasa retirement age na sila. Reasonable naman yun para sa Lord Chancellor, Lord High Admiral at Marshal dahil talaga namang mga matatanda na sila, pero hindi niya alam kung bakit pati yung iba ay nagquit.

Naging usap-usapan nga sa palasyo na gusto lang makatakas ng mga ito sa responsibilidad at saka ayaw ng mga ito sa kaniya at sa pamamahala niya kaya nagsialisan ang mga ito. Dahil dito ay sinunod na lang niya ang payo ni Prime Minister Lee na magluklok na lang ng mga bagong opisyal sa pwesto, yung taong alam niyang hindi siya tatraydurin.

Ang nangyari, tatlong araw mula ng mabakante ang mga pwesto ay pinatawag niya ang EXO Princes sa conference room ng palasyo. Mahaba-habang debate ang nangyari dahil ang iba ay tumatanggi dahil kakagraduate lang daw nila at wala pang alam sa mga gawain ng officials at ang iba naman ay gustong mag-apply para tulungan si Kris.

Bago matapos ang meeting ay nagkaroon ng mga bagong officials si Kris. Si Suho ang magiging Lord Chancellor at ang makakatulong niya sa mga gawain ay si Luhan bilang Keeper of the Seals. Si D.O ang magiging Lord High Admiral, sina Tao at Sehun ang magiging Marshal at Grand Master of Artillery. Inassign niya ring Lord President of the Council si Chan Lien.

Kung nagulat man ang ibang opisyal noong nagpatawag siya ng emergency meeting para ipakilala sa kanila ang mga bago ay tinanggap na lang nila ito at hindi na kinwestyon ang desisyon ni Kris. Afterall, his words will be their law.

Ngayon ay abala ang lahat ng tao sa palasyo. Lahat kasi ng royal servants ay pinapunta upang mag-ayos sa cathedral na siyang venue ng kasal.

The wedding will be held in private, only distinguished guests will be allowed inside the cathedral. The rest who can't go to the wedding can attend the reception later.

The officials and the royals alike were all dressed in pristine white clothes, complementing the design of the venue itself. The wedding march started playing, giving them the cue to enter the cathedral.

First entered the big doors are the invited royals and their families, then Kris entered the venue wearing his white three-piece suit and crown in his head. It was a few minutes before Hani entered the venue clutching her mother's arms and smiling bashfully at everyone. All eyes on her as she walked down the aisle wearing her white wedding gown and bouquet of white roses.

When they reached the end of the aisle, her mother gave her hand to Kris who smiled indulgently at them both. The archbishop began the ceremony and lectured them about marriage. After saying their I do's, it's time for the rings and the vows to be exchanged.

Kris made sure beforehand that the vows they will be exchanging is entirely theirs... meaning, nothing is scripted.

"I, Wu Yi Fan, promise to love Jeon Ha Ni until my last breath and cherish every living moments of my life with her. I will see to it that I'm putting her welfare and happiness first before my own. I promise to take care of her until we grow old and cease to remember even our own names. I won't promise that ascending to the throne will be fun for it has its own ups and downs, however, I will do my best for you not to carry the burden of being a royal." Pagkatapos niyang sabihin yun ay nilagay niya sa palasingsingan ni Hani ang wedding ring.
