For years the myth of the tooth fairy had brought delight to kids all around the universe, through either stories from storytellers or from those who told of meeting the fairy in person. Some kids grew out of it claiming that it was fake, or they were too grown up while others thrived on the gifts left for them from a tiny fairy almost like the other holidays such as Santa and the Easter Bunny. However one household did some things differently, over the years money was never the gift, instead it was shown through earnings up until a little miracle came along and that miracle was the form of a baby girl being formed. If one said the world had not been turned upside the second she could walk, they would be called a liar. It was almost like the whole universe did a flip and not everyone was happy with it. But they were not the main character in this story, so they would be placed aside for now but whether it would be too late to get them back would be the question.

“Omega! Breakfast!”

The little girl was none other than Omega Ti, she giggled rolling out of her bed while grabbing Miss Lula, her teddy she had been given by her older brother when she was barely two after an accident in the household.

“Coming!” Omega shouted back heading down the stairs, at the age of seven she had a brilliant mind and could do simple maths equations which she had been taught by her older brother, not the one who had given her the teddy but the one with the genius mind.

Entering the kitchen, Omega saw four faces looking back at her with smiles. She ran over to her favourite brother who was almost like a father figure to her. He was called Hunter and he was the oldest out of his blood siblings, while Echo was the oldest of them all but he had been adopted into the family after an incident of his own.

“Come here kid, Echo made funny toast” Wrecker called out, Omega turned to her giant brother who lifted her into her chair. She laughed, only to be handed her breakfast and the teddy which originally was in her lap was given to Tech, her genius brother who was typing on his tablet. She shared a smile with him, he nodded at her acknowledging her before turning back to his work. Omega could only grin as her family came to sit around the table and join her, the normal chatter happened. Omega loved her family but one thing never sat right with her, one family member never joined her, the smokey one. Her immediate older brother who was only seventeen, legally he had to live in the household but she never saw him.

“Where’s Cross?” Omega asked, pointing at the empty seat. Echo and Hunter shared a ‘look’ wondering where their miserable teenager was. Tech sighed, his twin wasn’t one for family gatherings.

“He’s probably in bed” Wrecker suggested, not wanting to deal with the ‘asshole’ of the family as he had been dubbed. Ever since their father had brought Omega home and in the process they had lost their mother, Crosshair held that deeply against Omega even if he never liked his mother she was the only one who understood him.

“Ah okay, the tooth fairy came last night. They left me money and a note!” Omega squealed, while the four brothers at the table froze. That wasn’t part of tradition.

“Can we see the items Omega?” Hunter asked, only for Omega to nod. She excused herself running up the stairs only to bypass a certain silver-haired teenager who wore a hoodie and had a bag on his back. She waved at him only for him to nod as he silently walked down the stairs. Not even a minute later, she appeared in the kitchen with the 10 quid and a note, Hunter took it with a frown. He ignored the fact that his teenager brother had entered the kitchen to grab himself a bottle of water before he walked out towards another destination.

Reading the note Hunter found his eyes lingering over the note, one part was in simple words while the other in another language. He read the bit directed to their sister first: ‘Sorry kid, the tooth fairy didn’t leave you a gift this time but they did decide you should have this. Maybe you can build a gift for your tooth fairy to remind them’. Hunter froze, they had all forgotten last night bar one. He looked up to see Echo examining the money to see that it was clean. His eyes landed on the Kaminoan language, their birth language: ‘I left a departing gift for the kid, make sure she uses it on herself. I can’t stick around anymore, I got into trouble with a gang and I need to put a distance between me and you guys. Plus father basically kicked me out so fuck him. I will stop by once the heat dies off but for now. Goodbye. P.S. Letter in each of your rooms for you all’.
