Past Memory, The first meeting…
"Father, why do we have to go to a military camp? I can think of many other things I would rather be doing than this".
99 sighed, taking the tablet off his son who he had nicknamed Tech for taking the toaster apart at the age of 3.
"Because, I have to do a job and I can't get babysitters. All you have to do is spend three weeks here and then the next three I will come pick you up and spend the rest of summer with you" 99 answered, as he gestured for the three of them to get out of the car. Hunter and Wrecker shared a look over their smaller brother's head. Hunter was 16, Wrecker was 15 and Tech was 14. They were very close to one another whether that was because Tech was an omega and the other two alphas.
"But…"
"Tech, enough. You will see Echo when you return home. Now get going. Hunter, Wrecker, please look after each other and him" 99 said as he drove away with tears in his eyes. He hoped everything would go to plan with his job.
Hunter and Wrecker shared another look as they directed Tech to what would be their home for the next few weeks. Hunter and Wrecker had been here before as Tech always had a babysitter but this time the youngster had to come since Echo's family couldn't watch him, something to do with Echo being busy this summer.
"Fancy seeing you here"
A familiar voice had the three whipping around to see their roommate. They would be bunking with a look of mischief on his face.
"Echo!" Tech cried out hugging the teenager who had been in their lives for a very long time or in other words was Techs alpha. Echo could only smile hugging the younger teen. Echo had made a promise to Hunter and Wrecker that he wouldn't start anything until Tech was old enough.
"What are you doing here?" Wrecker asked, throwing his stuff on a nearby bunk. Hunter smiled helping Tech climb onto the top bunk, Tech was small for his age.
Echo only chuckled, "I'm stuck here for the next three weeks and then I have to pick my brother up and I'm taking him up to dad's log cabin" His reply caught them off guard. "Oh my god, is everything alright? What happened?" Tech asked moving to sit beside Echo who only frowned.
"An alpha tried to jump my brother. If it weren't for Fives…Aiden wouldn't have made it" Echo said with a dark look. Tech cuddled into his side, "Why don't you invite him to this? It might distract him. I know he's only 13 but…" Wrecker was cut off.
"No, I'm not risking him. He is with Fives at the cabin until I get there" Echo answered, hugging Tech close. Hunter and Wrecker shared a look as they finished unpacking and changed into their uniforms.
For a few days everything was great, Tech actually managed to survive without technology which Wrecker had claimed was a new record much to the dismay of the youngster. The four were currently a team working on an obstacle course when an instructor came running over and demanded Echo come with her.
A few hours later…
Hunter, Wrecker and Tech had finally managed to complete the courses and returned to their cabin to get changed when they stumbled on a sight they wished they hadn't.
Echo was curled up in his bed holding a smaller individual in his arms and tears slipped down his face.
"Shall we come back?" Wrecker's voice snapped Echo out of his thoughts, Hunter elbowed Wrecker who sent his brother a glare.
