Somehow in the midst of their escape from the Empire's facilities. Omega had been taken, the batch were frantically trying to find her but they had engine trouble and the Marauder had crashed on a nearby planet. Echo and Tech worked on the double to get back into shape while Wrecker and Hunter tried to communicate with Omega or anyone they could reach.

Two weeks had passed since they lost contact with Omega and Hunter was on the verge of screaming when his eyes landed on the case of a fallen brother. The sniper case, he grimaced walking over to it.

"What are you doing?" Techs voice spooked him

"We are out of options"

"How do you know he will respond?"

"We don't"

"Hunter, we don't even know if he is alive"

"Tech, we have to try everything. I will deal with any consequences"

Tech could only nod, taking the commlink from Hunter to attach to the Havok Marauder systems so they could all listen in and potentially track the signal. With a nod, the engineer turned to look at his sergeant.

"Designation: CT-9901, calling for emergency help. Requesting aid from CT-9904"

Everyone remained silent waiting for some type of reply.

"Request granted, passing you through"

The automatic voice had them all on edge, it was a simple system run through their old commlinks. Tech had set it up only for the batch and Nala Se to access it.

Silence filled the Havok Marauder as they waited for the commlink to connect. Hunter found himself pacing for a lot of time, minutes turned into hours which turned into two days before a signal popped back through.

"Are you missing someone?"

All attention turned to the commlink which ended up turning on visual showing none other than their fallen brother. CT-9904 stood in his normal rigid position, he was staring straight at the camera.

"CT…"

"Have you all forgotten my name already?"

"Crosshair?..."

The disbelief in Wreckers tone only made Crosshair roll his eyes and turn to look over his shoulder for a minute before frowning looking back at the commlink.

"That's my name, don't wear it out. Where are you? I have a package to drop off"

"I'm not a package! I'm your sister!"

Omega's voice had all their heads turning to see a little blond kid beside Crosshair who only rolled his eyes moving aside allowing Omega into frame.

"Omega! Are you alright? Are you hurt? Did he hurt you?"

Omega only smiled at her worried brothers.

"I'm fine, Crosshair saved me from becoming an experiment. He even killed…"

"Not that I don't love a chitchat, I don't have much time"

Hunter instantly noticed the way Crosshair kept looking over his shoulder almost in a warning. Echo picked up on it, he noticed something off screen. He nodded at the marksman who smiled knowing the arc trooper would get the message.

"Where are you?"

Omega looked at Crosshair who held a hand tightly to her shoulder.

"Hoth. We are on Hoth"

Echo's answer made a smirk appear on Crosshairs face.

"See you soon"

Omega's cheery fake tone only made the others wince as the connection cut.

"What was that about?" Wrecker asked in confusion looking at Echo who got the silent messages.

"He's being monitored, someone else was on the ship with him. Crosshair was warning us, no doubt they will kill him which is why I said Hoth. I know at the minute Hoth is full of snow storms meaning…"

"Cover! Woah! Echo your smart" Wrecker grinned as the ship's systems came online and Tech got the Marauder in the air. They were nearby Hoth so they made their approach quickly, hiding the ship in the storm. Hunter winced feeling his senses going haywire but he knew one thing, he had batch members to watch over.

"Incoming ship!" Tech alerted them all, "That's strange, I'm only reading two life forms on the ship" Echo stated, showing them the information just as the ship landed beside them.

An explosion of some type of grenade had them all moving only to gasp. Omega was running for them, she smirked at them only to freeze when they all stared past her at the individual in the doorway of the other ship.

"Fives?" Echo looked at his twin who only waved. Echo met him halfway. Tech froze looking for Crosshair only to grimace. There were no other signs of life.

"Where's Crosshair?" Hunter asked Omega, smiled.

"On the ship" she said without a care in the world as Wrecker pulled her close. Hunter and Tech shared a look heading for the ship only to find no one except a note. Tech instantly grabbed it.

"I'm sorry, I didn't want to do it but it happened. Can you forgive me? Theres a chance by the time you read this, I will be gone. Know that you will always be my brother's. None of you will remember me, but know that I did this for a reason. Clone Force 99 is dead - Crosshair"

Several explosions snapped their attention elsewhere where in the atmosphere above two Venator-Class Star Destroyers exploded into smithereens.

Just as all their visions turned white.

A startled gasp left his lungs, Hunter jumped up in fright. A hand appeared on his shoulder.

"Hunter? Are you alright?"

The sergeant turned to see none other than his father staring back at him. He looked around his room only to frown seeing action figures on his bedside cabinet.

"Yeah I'm okay"

99 only smiled at his son, kissing his head before leaving the room. He turned the lights off. Hunter frowned watching his father leave, he grabbed his phone from the bedside cabinet. Scrolling through his phone, he looked at the group chat. It seemed he had missed several messages from Ethan, Tony, Watson and Olivia. His batch. A smirk made its way onto his face when he scrolled across an old number that he couldn't take out of his phone. The nickname Crosshair. His brother died in a car crash a couple of months ago. Checking the time, he turned back over hoping to dream of something good this time, hopefully one with his brother and the others.

The End…

Very Short Story as this wasn't something I was going to post but in the end here it is.
Please let me know what you think? This was something different to me - a dream from a child's perspective :)
