Hunter had walked away for barely even five minutes to dance with Echo while Crosshair headed over to the bar, to buy the next round of drinks. As Wrecker and Tech sat in a nearby booth sharing stories with Echo’s older brother Rex, the man sat with his own partner, Anakin Skywalker who was actually his commander in law enforcement. With patience, Crosshair managed to flag down the bartender and with soft words he ordered the drinks with the intention of leaving a tip. He kept to himself even when another individual slid into a seat beside him, he knew one thing he was attractive which is why many flirted with him or tried to get their chance with him. Wrecker blamed it on his endearing behaviour that so many people were drawn to him but like he reminded them all, he was happily married and didn’t want to start things. But like all things, some took it too far.

He will admit his attention shifted to his partners, all four, the same four who invited him into their home after he lost everything on a call. All of them worked as first responders and during one of the early days, he had lost his entire apartment. At first he was sleeping at a friend’s house but they kicked him out over a girl, so he left. He almost ended up on the street when his captain, known as Mayday, invited him to live in the house with him and that’s how he met his now four husbands.

All of which he loved deeply, his focus shifted back to the bartender who gave him a smile, he winked back carrying three drinks before returning for the other two, his focus had been on the bartender who flirted with him so he never caught the individual beside him slipping a tablet into the drink he had personally ordered. A reason to drink tonight was due to their child-free and rare work-free nights, they had all taken the opportunity to go out and enjoy it, so they decided on celebrating Echo’s new title, he was now qualified as a captain. The night had started with all five of them going out for food, at a very nice place before they went to a nearby spa, the man shared his love for them all. After heading home to get quickly changed, they headed out to the famous 79s, it was a bar owned by Echo’s twin, Fives, who was away in the military, he just had others running it while he was away.

“Hey cutie, fancy a drink?” someone drunkenly slurred, Crosshair shook his head, he was polite about it, “No, sorry I’m unavailable” Crosshair intended on walking away with the two drinks, when his waist was grabbed violently, “I wasn’t asking” the man wasn’t backing off. Thankfully before Crosshair could say anything else, the man was forcibly pried away by another stranger.

“He said, no back off!” the man, almost as big as Wrecker, shoved the drunk one away.

“Thanks” Crosshair grunted out, the bigger man only nodded, “anytime, can I buy you a drink? Since he made you drop one? No intentions here, I promise”. Crosshair softly smiled, “Yeah that’s fine” he glanced over his shoulder seeing his four husbands being oblivious as always. Crosshair quickly dropped off Hunter’s drink with Wrecker who kissed his cheek before turning back to Tech who laughed.

“Take a seat, what would you like? I’m Clayton by the way” Clayton gestured to the drinks, Crosshair smirked, “Crosshair, just an ice breaker with vodka please” he softly spoke, being polite as he was taught by his mother who would ring his neck in, if she ever heard his bad mouth. “Coming right up” Clayton chuckled, Crosshair nodded in thanks. As the two waited, a conversation flowed, “So, you were in the military? Now you're a firefighter? Woah, that must be intense” Clayton was so gentle, a bit like Wrecker, it was crazy.

“Yeah, life has had its ups and downs but we all live in the moment” Crosshair bluntly said, he glanced over his shoulder to see Wrecker had stood up, the man walking towards the bar with a worried expression on his face.
