Clone Force 99 were known as being defective but as time moved on and Echo joined their squad. The kaminoans wanted to test their effectiveness by bringing back one test from the past that was basically torture but it will help improve results according to the longnecks..
None of them had a choice in agreeing to it, since Admiral Tarkin, Nala Se and Lama Su wanted to test them with their abilities.
"Clone Force 99, report to the cube room, mission 672 is to start"
Hunter actually froze up hearing them words, he looked back at his second in command. Crosshair glared hearing those numbers, he gestured for them all to follow. Wrecker and Tech followed closely leaving Echo confused but he stuck with them.
"What's mission 672?" Echo turned to the silent marksman who sighed, "It's a test, a puzzle in a sense. That's what they call it while it's more like torture" Crosshair admitted out-loud, Echo gave him a look of horror as they lined up. They filed into the room which had four black walls.
"CT-9901 go to block A"
Hunter nodded, walking forward.
"CT-9902 block B"
Tech placed down his weapons, none of them were allowed any weapons on their body otherwise they would risk further punishment. Moving to the door beside Hunter who encouraged him with a smile, none of their helmets were allowed.
"CT-9903 Block C"
Nala Se walked past Wrecker who took his position as she assessed the last two of the squad. Hunter froze when she stopped at Echo.
"CT-1409 Block D, leave your gear to the side. Remain in armour"
Echo could only nod moving to his position, he shared an odd look with Hunter who was more worried that Crosshair had been left behind.
"CT-9904, please come with me" Nala Se spoke up, directing the marksman around the back of the black wall. Crosshair didn't say anything as he followed her, he didn't even acknowledge his batch mates who watched with concern.
"The mission will start in three minutes and 29 seconds. Your objective is to save your teammate, four keys are needed. Do not disappoint, you have five minutes on your own until the lights switch on and time isn't on your side. Please step into your rooms"
Hunter nodded, the group moved into their pitch black rooms. They could see each other while a tube was in the middle with a padlock and code on it. Hunter frowned, noticing his room had electric sensors around the room. They weren't activated yet but he knew they would be soon. To his left was Tech who was in a room full of broken equipment. Beside Tech, opposite Hunter was Wrecker who was back in the room which held the heaters. In other words it would be an inferno making the bigger man sluggish as time would go on. Lastly in between Hunter and Wrecker opposite Tech was Echo, whose room was newer but it was the fact that he was hooked up to a device on his arm and he had to manually use his other hand to work out the puzzle in front of him with his scope chained down.
In front of them all, was a puzzle of some sort that they had to work out. It had numbers and different parts missing. Hunter had a feeling he would get an electric shock every time he got it wrong, so he tried his best to mesmerise it now while looking around the room to spot the parts he needed. The others were doing the same while Echo was translating all he could now.
"Lights out in 3…2…1…begin"
The rooms were plunged into pure darkness as the machines kicked in. Tech yelped when one of the droid parts in his room turned on catching him off guard.
