“Clone Force 99 please report to Station 901 for debrief in the next ten minutes”

With a sigh Hunter climbed to his feet, he made his way past the bunks holding the rest of his teammates, he was quick to wake them all in many different ways. For instance, throwing cold water on his biggest teammate known to many as Wrecker all the way to turning on that annoying duck alarm that had the two lovers up to their feet. Both are known for many things but their nicknames stuck out, Echo and Tech. He moved much slower towards the fourth bed in the room, the one that held his occasional bunkmate who vanished all the time, the one they all looked out for, his second in command in a way.

“Crosshair, get up. We have debrief in the command room” Hunter whispered down to the bunk only to frown when no movement came and in this instance he wasn’t smacked or punched for stepping into the personal space of his well, they didn’t really have a label for what they were so he was just going to with his marksman for now. When he got no response, Hunter moved the blanket only to groan, there was a bunch of pillows and a note left on them.

Picking up the note, he could only groan in frustration as one of his teammates appeared at his shoulder.

“Has he snuck out again?” Echo asked, his tone full of concern as he geared up.

“What? Crosshair has snuck out of base again? Ah, I wanted to do that” Wrecker whined appearing with Tech who smirked, they all knew the youngest of the batch was known for many things but one that he got in trouble with the most was for his daring escapes and causing trouble for the bosses.

“It would seem so,” Hunter muttered.

“Hang on a minute, we don’t exactly know that. Crosshair could be down at the range” Tech pointed out, passing Hunter his knife and gun as they headed for the debriefing room which was only a short walk.

“Let's hope so, I don’t think I can handle another fine for him” Hunter grumbled, he entered first with Echo, Tech and Wrecker following him in.

At the main table were two individuals who were hardly away from their posts, Commander Cody and Commander Fox, beside the two was Captain Rex, the blond captain never relaxed. On the Captain’s side was another man but he had more of an easy go look while a serious man stood beside him. Those two were known as Anakin and Obi-wan.

“Commander, Clone Force 99 reporting for duty” Hunter announced his batch hoping to the universe that they wouldn’t be pulled for the missing marksman of their group. They could all feel the judgemental looks from the higher ups in front of them especially with the way Fox scanned them all.

“Sergeant, it would seem you are missing a member. Can you please explain where he is?” Obi-wan asked while coming to stand beside Cody who didn’t say anything but did grip his tablet a little tighter.

“The whereabouts of Crosshair is unknown to us, I believe he is at the range” Hunter lied through his teeth, the other batch members nodded in acknowledgement knowing they were protecting the youngest from the potential of the higher ups. Rex and Anakin shared a look while Cody only rolled his eyes knowing the batch were in ‘protective mode’, something he had seen in many squads but it was extra in the batch and it was due to the way Tech and Crosshairs mother was. Cody knew he had to protect them from her but he couldn’t do that all the time especially since the youngest liked to vanish on them all the time and it was becoming an operation that Fox wasn’t particularly fond of, since it was the Coruscant Guard who brought him back all the time, normally bruised and bloody.

“As much as I know you are a protective Sergeant, please try to keep lies away from this conversation. I do have a heart which is why I will explain where your marksman is” Obi-wan said in a gentle tone confusing them all, Hunter could only cross his arms while trying not to worry for his marksman,
