Omega had woken up with pains, she had been told when she turned 10, there was a chance she could go through a few changes. One starting with her body having changes. Her mother had explained little bits when she asked, her mother made sure she was prepared but she wasn't prepared to go to the toilet during one of her lessons only to find her underwear full of blood. She cried in fear reaching into her school bag which she had brought with her, she fumbled for her phone. She was 13 and terrified, she managed to find the number for one of her dads. Having full knowledge that her mother was on shift today, she knew his break was when she had her lunch but she couldn't wait.

"Hello?"

"Father, please come get me"

"Megs? What's wrong? Echo grab the car keys"

"Please, I'm scared. There's blood"

"Where? Where are you hurt? Talk to me Megs"

"In my…is mother around?"

"He's at work, where's the blood? Your dad is closer, he's coming to get you with your papa. Can you tell me where the blood is?"

"Down below"

"Oh two minutes…"

Omega couldn't help but cry into the phone, she could hear her father talking to her Daddy, the two conversing on what to say. A ringing on her phone alerted her to her mother's name ringing. She hung up on her father and answered.

"Mama?"

"I'm outside"

Those two words had her smiling, Omega opened the toilet door only to see her mother leaning against the wall. She only cried while Crosshair passed some clothes. She grabbed them following his instructions, she was quick to get changed. He put away her bloody clothes into a black bag and into her backpack. Once she was cleaned up, he lifted her into his arms pulling her close.

For any dignity she had, she walked out hand in his as they left the school. One of the teachers had immediately rang her mother once she said she wasn't feeling well while holding her stomach in class. Since many kids were going through the change, the teacher knew Crosshair very well.

Once outside she could only cry, Crosshair wasted no time in lifting her onto his hip and walking towards where the ambulance car was parked, she smiled at it. There in the back was none other than Hera who waved at her. It seemed the two would be missing the rest of school for the day. Well it was Friday and the teachers didn't mind.

"Climb in" Crosshair put her down, typing on his phone. Thankfully his best-friend was able to cover his shift. He would take the night shift later on in a favour. Omega kissed his cheek, climbing in. Hera instantly hugged her, passing over some painkillers. Omega hated medication but when she saw it was the dissolvable ones, she took them. Crosshair knew his daughter like the back of his hand.

She groaned feeling pain, a hand reached back to hold hers. She squeezed it.

"Why does this happen? Do boys go through a similar thing?"

"Nope, the morons don't" Crosshair teased, Omega smiled at her mother. She sat back watching him drive down the highway.

"Mother?"

"Hmmm"

"Does it get better?" Omega asked, moving as pain spread through her little body.

"It does, the first one is always the worst and then over time it gradually goes into a pattern. It's challenging but I'm here for you and so are the morons"
