A slamming of the front door followed by heavy footsteps up the stairs jolted Tech out of his work. He heard the yelling before he even got near the house. Opening the front door, he was awakened to Hunter and Omega yelling through a closed door.

Tech thanked the heavens Crosshair was at work and not in bed, the least they wanted was to deal with a grumpy marksman. Echo grimaced from the kitchen offering his husband a cup of hot chocolate, Tech took it with a smile kissing Echo's cheek just as Hunter came into the kitchen looking furious. He grabbed something from the fridge before he left the house grabbing his keys intending on picking Wrecker up.

"You or me?" Echo said turning to Tech who shrugged, "Leave her, she will come down when she needs to" Tech answered, gesturing to the TV. Echo could only smile moving his work so the two could sit down and watch something.

Upstairs…

Omega glared down at her phone, she didn't mean to explode on Hunter but she couldn't help it. All of it got too much and she ended up taking it out on the one who truly showed her kindness and rescued her from her abusive parents.

The words, the comments, just got too much. She didn't understand how her brothers dealt with this on a daily basis or maybe it was just her. She was pathetic, she couldn't even stand up to her bullies. Their words struck something deep inside her as she re-read the nasty comments in her phone. She had only posted a picture of her and gonky, the cat and she received tons of abuse.

She knew what she had to do, sneaking out of her room. She went into Crosshairs room, it was forbidden but he didn't mind her as long as she didn't snoop. She entered his ensuite where he kept his medical kit. Crosshair was a paramedic which meant he did long shifts, her archery partner was the best. It was probably because he was the youngest and they understood each other better than the others.

She found herself standing in front of the cupboard that held all the medicine to the house. Crosshair kept it due to reasons he didn't want to discuss, the odd thing she heard was Tech tried something years ago that failed but her brother was much better now.

She grabbed the tablets labelled 'methotrexate', she grabbed the tub and went to take some when she heard what sounded like yelling down the hallway followed by a door slamming shut. She was quick to hide in the bathtub as she heard Crosshairs door opening.

"Fucking overgrown tooka, of course he wouldn't understand. I'm the one fighting the bloody disease, not him…"

Omega held her breath well aware that Crosshair had entered his own bathroom and had sat against the bath. He sobbed quietly, she tried not to move but her foot had gone numb.

"You can come out you know, I won't bite" Omega gasped when the curtain shifted and she found Crosshair looking back at her. He raised an eyebrow taking the pills from her hand and putting them on the side. She couldn't help but slam into his chest and sob. The older man just hugged back letting his own tears slip down his normal self-control.

It took a whole twenty minutes for her to calm down and let go of his chest. During this time, he had accessed her phone as he usually does and sighed.

"Omega, why didn't you tell me?" Crosshair murmured into her hair pulling himself off the floor and towards his bed with her in his arms. He grabbed a few pills and swallowed them.

"I didn't want to be a burden, not while you are fighting leukaemia…I'm sorry…" Omega looked to the side, Crosshair could only grunt holding her close, "I wouldn't care if I was on my last breath, we agreed. You inform me of these things. It's called being the youngest two for a reason" Crosshair explained.
