The bad batch were out investigating a disturbance far out on a planet in the outer-rim for Rex, the captain told them to be careful. It seemed there had been an Empire presence on the planet, Hunter wasn’t too happy about it but they still went especially when they received a coded message from a fellow brother.

It had been months since they had left Crosshair alone on that platform and from then on, the Empire had doubled their patrols and got rid of all the clones; they were quite surprised to find out that Clone Force 99 had been terminated by the Empire. If it was their last gift from their brother, Hunter could only smile. It seemed one way or another, the batch still protected each other.

“How much further Tech?” Echo grumbled out in his normal grumpy tone, the engineer frowned, his readings were all over the place. “I don’t know, it seems we may be in a bit of trouble, the readings I am…”

“GRAB HIM!”

The batch slipped into the shadows as a bunch of what looked like stormtroopers ran passed followed by the Elite Squad, what was even worse the elite squad was shooting the troopers and laughing about it.

Hunter gestured for them all to be quiet as he climbed higher to find out what was going on within the caverns of the caves. He got more than he bargained for, he soon found out why the clones were going missing. The Nat-borns stood on platforms made of structures in the cave walls taking down any frantic clones, it was like the game cat and mouse. Wrecker and Omega played except it was to the death.

The sergeant had every right to backpedal out of their mission when some very familiar armour stepped out of the shadows helping the clones and shooting the nat-borns of the Imperial Elite Squad. Crosshair! Hunter gasped as his batchmate went down hard. Without warning, Hunter dropped to the ground silently appearing next to the batch.

“Hunter, what’s going on?” Echo asked, covering Omega’s head with a hat they had found, “The Elite Squad is here and they are taking down the clones with weapons. But, you must know something, Crosshair is here…”

“No, what are we going to do, we are severely…” Hunter held up a hand shutting Tech up, all attention turned to the sergeant. “He is helping the clones, last I checked he had taken on the Elite Squad on his own in hand to hand combat” Hunter said, looking out the cave to see clones escaping.

“What’s the plan?” Omega asked, Hunter frowned.

“Tech, Echo and Omega. You are going to lead the clones out of the caves while me and Wrecker are going to deal with getting to Crosshair. Something just doesn’t add up” Hunter explained, the three nodded, taking off with Echo taking the leadership role with ease. Hunter turned to his demolition expert,  “Wrecker, do you have any small charges?” Wrecker could only nod with a grin passing over a few. Together Wrecker and Hunter planted the charges on the openings of the cave structures, Hunter noticed Crosshair had managed to take down three of the elite squad members and was struggling with the last two. Crosshair groaned, going down again when a precise kick hit his head. His vision blurred, he glared through his broken helmet at the two who had turned on him the instant Tarkin ordered them to. He didn’t understand what he had done until he heard the words ‘CT-9904, your services are no longer required. Turn off his chip and let him rot knowing he has killed his brothers’. Crosshair had lunged right there and then at the Admiral who was in shock taking a step back when the marksman lost it, taking his anger out of them all only to find himself stunned. He later woke up with a weapon and was surrounded by many confused ‘regs’, it was like his worst nightmare until the shooting started and he found himself surrounded by the Elite Squad in a fight for survival. He would show the Empire what they were missing out as he swung his fist knocking out the first Elite Squad member with a smirk. With the skills he had learned over the years, he took down the Elite Squad members without a care in the world, he had every intention of walking out of here alive but his hope dropped slightly when they aimed his own gun against him. With swiftness they would be jealous of, he managed to retrieve his modified pistol back and took aim.
