Chapter 1

Liv POV

"Seventeen in just a few short hours," Cole said walking over to me.

I was on the couch, reading on my kindle.

I rolled my eyes. "Can you please stop, I know I'll be seventeen soon," I said as Cole sat down beside me.

"I think he's more excited than you are," Kylee said as she sat in the chair on the other side of the room.

"I'm excited, just not counting down the seconds," I said glaring at my husband.

"Come on Liv, you only turn seventeen once," Cole said.

"What's that supposed to mean?" I asked.

"You're almost an adult," he said.

"Yeah?" I asked.

"Our marriage won't have to be so heavily watched," he said.

"That's what you're saying?" I asked. Cole nodded his head.

"He will finally have full custody of you," Kylee said filling in the pieces.

"Ohhh," I said. Cole smiled. "Now if you'll excuse me," I said as I looked down at my book and went back to reading.

"I'm hurt babe, that you would rather read than hang out with me," Cole said going over to his sister.

"Cole, I have the rest of my life with you," I said.

"Yeah," he said.

"So it's okay, if I'd rather read, then hangout with you," I said. Cole rolled his eyes.

"You two get in the most strangest conversations," Kylee said.

"We know, but that's what makes us an interesting couple," Cole said. I got up and went to my room and shut the door.

Later that night, Cole and I were laying in bed waiting for it to be midnight.

"So soon," Cole said as he looked at the clock.

"Yeah," I said quietly.

"Are you okay?" He asked. I shrugged. "I'm here to talk, you know that," Cole said.

"Yeah, I'm just frustrated over the lies my team has told me. I'm just glad someone was able to tell me the truth," I said looking at Cole.

"I'm always here for you babe," he said. "We will do what we can to find out why they are withholding things from you, and possibly find a way for you to leave your label, but we have to talk to my parents about it first," Cole said.

"This is just eating me alive," I said.

"I know it is, and I don't like it when you're stressed out," he said.

"I didn't want the new year to start off this way," I said.

"Trust me, I didn't either, but you had to know the truth," Cole said. "Also love, happy birthday," he said before he kissed my lips.

I kept him close to me for a moment before we pulled away.

"Thank you," I said. "Have I ever told you-" I started to say before Cole cut me off.

"That you love me?" He asked. I nodded my head. "Not recently no," he said with a smile jokingly.

"I love you," I said.

"I love you too," Cole said before he kissed my lips again. "Are you ready to get some sleep?" He asked. I nodded my head and curled up in his arms as his hand played with my hair for a bit.
