Chapter 39

RECAP

Dalton POV

I pulled Liv closer to me and looked into her deep blue eyes.

"Will you be my girlfriend?" I asked. "We've known each other for so long, and you know opposites attract, and-" I started to say before Liv cut me off.

"Dalton, stop," Liv said putting her hand up.

Liv POV

"Are you sure?" I asked. Dalton nodded his head. "We have a history of us hating each other, and I'm technically still with Cole, we are going to try to get back to the way we were," I said.

"Oh," Dalton said stepping away from me. "So, you want to go back to him, what if he does it again to you?"

"I never thought of that," I said. "But doesn't some people deserve a second chance?" I asked going to my door and opening the door. We walked inside as I put my purse down on the counter.

"Yes, but you and Cole have fought before, but never this long," Dalton said. "Why don't you just try with me for a while, we could even be a PR stunt," Dalton said.

"Why are you forcing this on me?" I asked.

"I am not forcing anything on you, I am trying to help you!" Dalton said.

"It doesn't seem like it," I said. "It seems like you are forcing and begging for me," I said.

"No, I am not," Dalton said quickly. "I just thought you needed help moving on from him," Dalton said.

I sighed. "I'll be your girlfriend Dalton," I said.

"Really?" Dalton asked perking up a bit. I nodded my head. "You choose that so fast," he said.

"I kind of want to make Cole jealous, but I will be your girlfriend, under one condition," I said.

"Anything, I will get you as many KitKats as I possibly can, and black olives," Dalton said. I rolled my eyes and kissed him to make him be quiet. Dalton was taken off guard before he kissed me back. His kisses weren't anything like Cole's or Colby's it was surprisingly gentle.

I know Dalton usually hides his true feelings by trying to be a bad boy, but in reality, he's nothing but a sweetheart. Or a romantic.

I pulled away before I looked into his blue eyes. "You will do everything you can to win American Idol," I said.

"I will do my best," Dalton said.

"No! I want to hear you tell me you are going to win!" I said.

"Okay, I am going to win!" Dalton said.

"Yes! And if you are a winner, what else are you going to do?" I asked jumping up and down.

"I don't know, shout it from the rooftops?" Dalton asked before walking towards the balcony. I quickly pulled him back.

"Did you seriously forget? The best song I have ever written?" I asked.

"Since U Been Gone?" Dalton asked.

"Okay second-best song ever," I said.

"Walk Away?" Dalton asked. I shook my head and hit his shoulder.

"Touchdown Dance!" I said.

"Oh! I forgot about that song actually," Dalton said. My eyes went wide. "I'm dead, aren't I?" Dalton asked. I nodded my head before he took off running. I ran after him before he turned around and picked me up.
