Chapter 3

Cole POV

I walked into my room to see my wife pacing the floor.

"Liv, are you okay?" I asked her. Liv looked up and shrugged. "Do you want to talk to my parents and see if we can get something together for you? I don't like seeing you like this," I said walking over to her.

"I don't even know how to start," Liv said.

"I'll start if that's what you want," I said looking at her. Liv looked away from my eyes.

"I have to tell you something before we go out there," she said.

"Okay, what's up?" I asked. Liv took a deep breath.

"I have to go to the UK for a while," she said.

"Okay, that hasn't bothered us before," I said.

"I know, but it might be a mess to clean up, so I don't know when I'll be back," Liv said.

"Oh," I said. "What's the mess?" I asked.

"I can't tell you, or I could lose my job," she said.

"Oh, you're not looking for a new manager on your own are you?" I asked. Liv shook her head.

"I'm not doing anything for myself until I get out of my contract. The only thing I might do is write," she said.

"So what's the mess you have to clean up?" I asked.

"Songwriting mishap," Liv said.

"What?" I asked.

"A song I wrote for another artist recorded the song and is planning on putting it on their album yet it's coming out next week from someone else," Liv said.

"Oh, so you have to break the news?" I asked. Liv nodded her head. "So why can't you do it over the phone?" I asked.

"I don't know," Liv said as she looked scared.

"Everything's going to be okay," I said pulling her into my arms.

"Can we just get it done and over with?" She asked. I nodded my head. I took her hand and lead her out to the living room where my parents were watching TV.

"Are y'all busy?" I asked. "Liv and I need to talk to you about something," I said.

My parents looked at each other before they looked at Liv.

"Are you saying what I think you're saying?" My mom asked. I gave her a questioning look.

"What?" I asked.

"I'm not pregnant," Liv said. "I'm stressed out," she said walking over to the love seat. I went behind her and started to rub her shoulder.

"What are you stressed out about?" Scott asked.

"The lies my team has told me, how I'm getting underpaid, how Cole isn't apart of my team, how they want to control Cole and I's relationship, and now I might have to go to the UK and do some writing for myself and other artists," Liv said all in one breath.

"Oh sweetie," my mom said sitting down beside her.

"Did you tell her all this?" My dad asked looking at me.

"Part of it, the other part she knew," I said.

"Liv, you're going to be okay," my mom said hugging her.

"I just don't know what to do," she said.

"First of all you need to relax, next, we can take a look at your contract, before we find a lawyer to help you," my dad said.
