Chapter 23
Liv POV
Later that night Cole, Dana, Gabe, Alex, and their parents celebrated the life that was IM5. We went out to dinner at the club nearby, which I somehow got us in and through, Dana and I however had to wear wristbands since we are not at the drinking age in the UK.
Cole walked over to me as I sat at the one table. "Are you okay?" He asked sitting down across from me.
"Yeah," I said as I took a sip of my Coke.
"Tired?" He asked. I nodded my head.
"Wanna go outside and talk?" Cole asked. I nodded my head. I grabbed my drink as we walked outside onto the balcony in the London air. "I am sorry for the way I have been acting around you," Cole said getting right to the point. "I understand that you are growing up, but I'm just worried you are changing too fast," Cole said.
I nodded my head. "Can I ask you something?" I asked.
"Go ahead," Cole said.
"How come you were okay with the change from my "Thankful," era, to my "Breakaway," era and now that I am trying to write a different upbeat album, you are scared or worried for me?" I asked.
Cole looked at me. "The "Thankful," album wasn't really you, "Breakaway," was more yourself, and that song you wrote a few weeks ago, made it seem like you were going to change genres again," Cole said.
"I'm not, I want to keep it pop rock, most third albums are their rock album," I said.
"You already did that with "Breakaway," he said. I rolled my eyes.
"So you want me to write another "Breakaway," album? Why can't I change it up a bit?" I asked.
"You can, just don't make it so sexy like that song," Cole said. I rolled my eyes.
"That song might not even be on the album, why couldn't you just be happy for me that I wrote a song after the dry spell I've been going through?" I asked.
"Dry spell? Liv, I heard your conversation with Alex, you have other songs done but you haven't shown them to me," Cole said.
"Because you were mad at me about "Yeah," that I figured it was just going to send you over the edge with the other song," I said. "The songs I was talking to Alex about, aren't even done, and I don't know if those songs are going to be for me," I said. Cole looked away from me as he stared out at the night.
"I don't know what to do," he said before he faced me. "I wanted to make it up to you, I miss you, and how we were before," Cole said.
"Yeah, I was hoping to say "Time," but I don't think we are ready yet," I said.
We stood there in silence as I let my thoughts run. Could this be the end of us?
"Are you jealous of me?" I asked.
"What?" Cole asked.
"Are you jealous of me?" I asked again.
"No," he said.
"Okay," I said.
"Why do think I am?" Cole asked.
"I don't know, like you said before we haven't talked a lot the past few days since we started fighting," I said. "So I don't know what you are thinking," I added.
"I'm not," Cole said. "I know your job is demanding, and frustrating and that's why I am wondering if you are taking it out on me," Cole said.
"I'm no-" I started to say.
