Chapter 42
Cole POV
I rolled over in the bed and slowly opened my eyes. The blinds were closed as I could see sunlight coming in from the bottom of the curtains.
I rolled over and pulled Liv closer to me as she slept. I smiled.
I did not expect last night to happen the way it did, but I think I have my girl back. There still is a lot to talk about but I think I can get Liv to agree to take our relationship one day at a time.
I grabbed my phone and saw it was a little after seven. I got up and took a shower before grabbing my sweatpants, a jacket and a beanie before walking out to get us some coffee before we had this long conversation that was about to come.
Liv POV
I woke up the next morning alone. Naked, and alone. I looked around and saw Cole's bag near the bed. I didn't hear any water running from the bathroom. I shook my head and started to cry.
He left me. Again.
I shouldn't have done that with him last night, but I don't know if it was temptation, or the fact that I was missing him too much for him to show up at my doorstep.
Part of me wants me to block him on my phone. I'll think about that later, I think what I need right now is a nice hot shower. I wrapped myself up in the blanket and started to gather my clothes and put them in the bin. I grabbed some clean clothes and went into the bathroom. I took a nice long hot shower as the tears fell from my eyes.
Cole POV
I went back into Liv's apartment after getting Dunkin down the street.
I looked around and didn't see Liv. I heard the water running from the bathroom. I smiled. I started to clean up the room a little bit before sitting down on the couch. I pulled out my phone and started going through some messages before I heard the water turn off in the bathroom.
I debated on going down to breakfast, but knowing Liv, she doesn't really eat in the morning, unless that changed.
She really hasn't changed her order in a lot of stuff recently, or in general. I think just her music choice and who knows that might just be from me.
I heard the door open as I turned around and saw Liv wearing her sweatpants and a different hoodie from last night. Liv looked over at me surprised.
"You're still here?" Liv asked. I nodded my head.
"Yeah, I just left and picked up Dunkin'," I said before Liv ran over to me and hugged me.
"I thought you left, I thought I was just a one and done," Liv said. I shook my head.
"You will never be a one and done, Liv," I said. "We do need to talk though," I said. Liv nodded her head. We sat down on the couch as I handed Liv her drink, and the bag. "It's a Boston cream," I said.
Liv smiled before she took a sip of her iced coffee. "How do you want to start this?" Liv asked.
"I am sorry, and I will keep saying that to you until I know you fully accept it. I know we have a lot going for the both of us, and I am willing to stick with you and help you when needed," I said.
"Aren't you still with Brooke?" Liv asked.
"I am ending things with her once we get back to LA, and my parents know we are back," I said. Liv nodded her head.
"What if she declines?" Liv asked as she took a bite of her donut.
"She is just gonna have to accept that you are mine," I said. Liv smiled.
