Chapter 35

Liv POV

The next day I ended up getting an apartment for myself. It was about halfway to the house and about halfway to Sam and Colby's apartment. I needed time to think. Cole keeps confusing me, by kissing me and then running away from me. He knows that I am with Colby, but he is still with Brooke, does he know that I am jealous? Am I making him jealous?

I am jealous of Stas and how close she is to Colby. I went through Colby's Instagram and I saw pictures and comments that make them seem that they are more than friends. I should talk to him about it, but do I need more drama right now?

My phone started ringing as I walked across the room and picked it up. It was Colby.

"Hey," I said.

"Hey Liv, how's your writing going?" Colby asked.

"Eh, decent," I said.

"Are you okay from the other night? You seem to be short on answers with me. Is everything okay?" Colby asked.

"Yeah, just tired," I said.

"Do you want me to bring you your favorite drink from Starbucks?" Colby asked.

"Sure," I said.

"Okay, I will be there in about twenty minutes," Colby said.

"Thank you," I said before I hung up.

We haven't said, "I love you," yet and I just don't see myself saying that to him. I like him and everything, but I just can't find myself to love him. I love him as a person but as my secret boyfriend, I just can't, and everything going on with Cole.

I just don't know.

I ran over to my laptop and grabbed it before I ran out of my apartment and down the street to the studio.

I ran into my room and started throwing paper around the room before I grabbed a pen and started writing.

"Everybody says you're no good for me

Nothing but trouble is what you bring

Everybody thinks you're out to get me

Helpless little fool they must think I am

Everybody thinks that we're both crazy

We'll it's just my luck," I wrote.

"Pop-rock," I said to myself before there was a knock on the door. I looked up and saw Colby with a vanilla bean frap in his hand.

"Hey babe," he said before he walked over to me. I smiled before he kissed my cheek.

"Hi," I said before I took a sip of my drink.

"How's the songwriting going?" He asked. I shrugged.

"You have good days and bad days," I said before I put my cup down. "Can I ask you something?" I asked.

"Sure, what's up?" Colby asked. I went over to the couch and sat down.

Sometimes you need to not beat around the bush for the answers. I feel like I know the answer to this, but I am scared.

"Do you have feelings for Stas?" I asked. Colby looked at me and shook his head.

"No, she is just a friend," Colby said.

"Are you sure? Because when I met her, she seemed very head over heels for you and was surprised when she found out we were together," I said.

"Liv, don't let it bother you, okay. You are the girl I care about the most right now, and I understand that there will be people who do not like us together at the moment, but we will show them we really care about each other, and they will learn to love us," Colby said. I shook my head.
