Chapter 15

Liv POV

I was sitting in my room back in Pittsburgh, reading The Phantom's Tollbooth.

"Tweedy dee, dinner!" My mom called. I rolled off my bed and walked to the kitchen. I grabbed a plate and helped myself to a piece of chicken and sweet potato fries. I smiled before I took my seat next to my mom. "Now sweetie, there's something I need to tell you," she said.

"What's wrong mom?" I asked.

"This is a dream," she said.

"What?" I asked.

"This is your imagination speaking," she said.

"You're not real?" I asked. My mom nodded her head.

"I am as real as you want to make me," she said.

"So, you're not here?" I asked. My mom shook her head. "How did you contact me? Why are you just now contacting me?" I asked.

"You know what today is right?" She asked before we got moved to a beach.

"Yeah, four years since you left me," I said looking out at the waves. My mom nodded her head.

"I have been busy, keeping an eye on you and getting to know your twin sister, Kelly," my mom said.

We stood there on the beach in silence, letting the waves do the talking for us.

"Sweetie, I love you so very much, you are doing a great job," she said before she played with the ends of my hair.

"I miss you," I said.

"I miss you too, your dad and I are so very proud, and Scott and Theresa are doing a great job raising you," my mom said. "I know you are struggling to write your third album," she said.

I rolled my eyes. "It's not easy, but I can't do anything until everything goes through," I said.

"I know, but you can always write down ideas, that hasn't stopped you before, or what about the stories you used to write when you were younger. You always told me if you didn't become Hannah Montana, you were going to go to school and try to become a teaching aid, but I am here to tell you, you will be able to write your third album, you just need to believe in yourself," she said.

"How can I see you again?" I asked.

"I am always here in your dreams, I am sorry I had to leave you here, but Cole is doing a great job with you, he loves you, just as much as your father and I do," she said kissing my forehead.

"I wish you didn't have to leave me," I said as I started to cry.

"You know that God always has a plan, he called me home," my mom said before she started to slip away.

"Mom?" I asked as the room turned black. "Mom!" I cried.

"Liv!" I heard Cole say as I felt him shake me.

"Mom!" I cried again.

I woke up and sat up. "Mom," I said as I cried.

"Liv, it's okay, I am right here," Cole said.

"Mom," I said as Cole pulled me into his chest as I cried.

"It was just a dream," Cole said.

I heard Onyx barking before the door opened. I cried and focused on Cole's breathing.

"Olivia," Cole said. I looked up briefly before he handed me my pill. I took the pill and washed it down with some water. "Just breathe," he said.

"I'm," I started to say before I started crying all over again.
