Chapter 20

Liv POV

I was in my bedroom pacing as Cole walked in.

"Are you okay?" Cole asked as he looked at me.

"Yes?" I asked.

"Liv," Cole said.

"I don't know," I said as I sat down on the bed.

"Do you want to talk about it? You've been kind of quiet most of the day," Cole said.

"I know stuff that I cannot tell you yet," I said. Cole came over to me and sat down. He pulled me into his arms as I rested my head on his shoulder. "I want to write a song for me," I said after a while.

"Then write a song for yourself then," Cole said. "I'm not stopping you," he said.

"I know, but I don't have any inspiration yet," I said.

"Didn't you write a song called "Na Na Na," a few years ago?" Cole asked. I nodded my head. "What if you wrote a song similar like that?" Cole asked.

"Na Na Na?" I asked.

"Not that, but yeah, what about the "Yeah," song?" Cole asked.

I gave Cole a smile. "Yeah, I mean there was the "Hey," song in elementary school we used to sing," I said.

"So why not write the "Yeah," song?" Cole asked.

I looked at him. "Will you help me?" I asked.

"Of course," Cole said. I got off the bed and ran downstairs.  I grabbed my guitar and started playing different riffs.

"I like that one," Cole said.

I played the same riff again and shook my head. "This is from a song that is coming out soon," I said.

"Oh, by who?" Cole asked.

"Selena," I lied as I started changing the cord a bit.

"I need a light drum," I said.

"Okay," Cole said as he went over to the drum kit.

"Do you know what you're doing?" I asked.

"A bit," he said as he grabbed the drumsticks.

I checked my phone for the time, before I set an alarm for 9 PM. I smiled.

"Why are you smiling at your phone?" Cole asked.

"You," I said as I went to my photos and found a recent picture of him.

"You've screenshotted my Instagram photos? Babe, I could've just sent you the photos, you don't have to screenshot them," Cole said. I shook my head.

"But it's fun this way," I said.

"Okay," he said walking away from me.

"Yeah," I sang holding out the yeah. "Let me know, let me know," I sang.

I quickly placed my hands on my guitar and started to play something.

"Yeah, let me know, let me know, yeah, let me know, it's all for you," I sang. "I think that's my chorus," I said.

"This might be a short song," Cole said.

"Hey sometimes short songs are good," I said. "Or maybe I won't release it," I said.

"Pass it off to IM5?" Cole asked.

"No, maybe Cole Pendery for his solo career?" I asked.

"No, as much as I love your music Liv, I don't know if I want to release anything right away," Cole said.
