Chapter 14Cole POV
Tour has been going amazing. The fans really like our new music and cannot wait for this EP to drop.
We even get to do an acoustic set with House on Cliff. The girls all know these songs are mainly about Liv and Alex, but they are really about our fans. We get a ton of inspiration from them, and they keep us motivated. They have been with us from the start.
I was in the car with Dana, Gabe, Dana's mom, Joni, and Jill. Liv was in New York with Demi and Selena, but she was going to be meeting up with me later this week.
"I wish we would've been smarter," Dana said as he stared at the game console. "Doesn't Liv have one on her bus?" Dana asked.
"We didn't know there wasn't going to be a place for us to set it up," I said looking at it sadly. "What doesn't Liv have on her bus?" I asked.
"Good point, she has a lot of stuff," Dana said.
I looked behind me and saw Gabe fast asleep. Gabe was in the backseat taking a nap, leaving Dana and I in the captain chairs.
"A few more hours boys," Joni said as she drove the sprinter.
"Can we stop for food soon? It's getting late," I said.
"Yeah, that might be smart," Jill said.
It was late in the night as we drove. We found an Arby's and tried to go through the drive thru, unfortunately, the sprinter didn't fit through the drive thru, so we tried to go into the building as they didn't want to let us in.
"Can't we play the Liv card?" Dana asked looking at me. I shook my head.
"You know I don't like doing that," I said.
"Do you even use it?" Gabe asked. I shook my head.
"No, I don't want to be dependent on her when she isn't around," I said.
"Respective, I see," Dana said. I rolled my eyes.
We ended up walking around the drive thru, we made sure to get a picture of it and sent it out to our fans. Liv called me just as I was getting my food.
"Hello baby," I said.
"Are you serious?! Why didn't you call me, I would've gotten you through!" Liv yelled.
"Liv, it's no big deal," I said.
"But Cole, I would've helped you," Liv said.
"I know you would've," I said with a sigh. I got in the way back of the sprinter for some privacy as I talked to Liv. "I don't like using your name for help," I said.
"Why not? I am here to help you," Liv said.
"I know, I just didn't want to be bothering you if you were working," I said.
"Cole, I pick up ninety five percent of your texts and calls because I don't want it to be you in the hospital, and if I can do anything to help you, I will," Liv said.
"I know, I just don't want to be dependent on you. You have a very demanding schedule that I don't want to have to bug you with my issues if I can help it," I said. "I love you, Liv, and you know that, but sometimes, I have to fight these kinds of battles without you. I know you love to help but sometimes there is a line, and I don't want to cross it. Do you understand what I am saying?" I asked.
"Yeah," she said softly.
"Please don't cry over this," I said as I ran my fingers through my hair.
"I am sorry for yelling at you," Liv said after a while.
