25- den of scorpions

Qibli was excited to finally be at the Scorpion's den where his family was, they landed at the entrance, they were stopped by two sandwing guards, "What are you all doing here?" One asked, Qibli then said "I'm here to find my parents, these are my siblings." The other guard then said "Well we can't let you pass, we'd get in trouble for letting you in, so you better make it worth it if we deci-" a dragon landed beside them, they both straightened up, the dragon stepped forward and said "Sixclaws, Venomous, you are both dismissed, Thorn needs to see both of you." The dragons voice was confident until both the dragons left.

"Thank goodness I can finally calm dow-" He stopped when he saw them, he was a large Skywing Nightwing hybrid, "Um... hi, who are you all and, um... how can I help you?" Qibli stepped forward and said "I'm Qibli, these are my siblings, we're looking for my parents but those dragons told us they'd get in trouble if they let us in." The hybrid nodded nervously and said "Oh, yeah, anyways Sixclaws was serious, but Venomous likes to abuse his power as a guard by getting items and small favor from dragons, last time he made someone steal from Sixclaws, oh... um I'm rambling, I'm Bloodmoon."

Qibli smiled and said "It's nice to meet you, Bloodmoon." Winter then suddenly said "Can we hurry up, it's getting hot out here." Qibli looked at Bloodmoon and said "Hey could you let us in?" Bloodmoon then said "Oh, um... Yeah, sure, I can let you in, but you'll have to meet the leader of the outclaws, Thorn, she's nice."

Bloodmoon opened the door and soon they were in the Scorpion's den, Qibli noticed how dragons seemed to be going around Bloodmoon some even turned around and ran off, Bloodmoon also seemed to have changed his look into a more serious look and dangerous then when he was  outside.

Soon they were at a larger but then the rest, Bloodmoon went in first and motioned for them to join him, soon they were before a large sandwing that Qibli could only assume was Thorn, "Thorn, these dragons claim to be looking for the parents of Qibli." Bloodmoon said, Thorn then said "Bloodmoon, no need to be so serious and menacing, but first, I must know Qibli, who are your parents and why were you traveling with these dragons?"

Qibli then said "I don't know my real parents, my siblings and I were raised by our father, Red." Thorn perched up at this and said "Oh, Red, I remember him well, did he ever find my daughter?" Qibli nodded and said "Yeah, Red said Sunny was your daughter, she is with the other Dragonets of destiny." Thorn nodded and said "Good to know, I hope I see her soon, anyways, I can't bring you to your mother." Qibli jumped up and said "Why not?" Thorn came up to Qibli and patted him gently on the head before saying "I would have to say your so innocent, I assume Red told you that your mother sold you and furthermore, I assume Red has no idea you're here." They all avoided Thorn's suspicious glare and she said "As I suspected, you can stay here but you shouldn't meet your mother, she had planned to kill Red from what I saw and heard." Qibli looked down even more guilty then before.

(Time skip)

Soon, Thorn had them made up small beds, Qibli was laying in his bed when he noticed Bloodmoon was awake, He got up and walked over to Bloodmoon, "Hey Bloodmoon, are you ok?" Qibli asked, Bloodmoon looked back with tired restless eyes before replying "Yeah, Thorn and I were so busy today I accidentally forgot to get my sleeping herbs." Qibli rested his head on Bloodmoon and said "Well if you want I can try and stay up with you, you seem quite nice."

Bloodmoon turned bright red and said "Sure, but I won't blame you if you fall asleep, it is quite late." Qibli then yawned and said "I promise to not fall asleep." Qibli yawned again resting his head on Bloodmoon's shoulder, "I think I'll just lay here for a bit and rest my eyes..." Qibli quickly fell asleep.
