Winter was sorting scrolls with Fatespeaker and Starflight. Jade Mountain was set to open in just five days and even better, Silver was going to be there! As Winter was sorting his talon stopped on a scroll he recognized, 'Animus magic throughout time, vol 5', it was the only scroll he and his siblings were forbidden to read, he always wondered why?
Winter glanced around, nobody was watching so he could figure out what it was! Winter quickly opened the scroll and started reading. The scroll said much about two animus icewings, Queen Diamond and her son, Prince Arctic. One day, Prince Arctic was kidnapped by the nightwings, so they could gain animus magic.
As Winter read further it eventually named a dragon called Darkstalker and said to see the scroll, 'The Darkstalker'. Winter was confused as the Scroll went on, nothing was really strange about it, so why did Red forbid them to read it.
Winter returned to sorting the scrolls, his talons grabbed one and he looked at the title to see where it went, 'The Darkstalker'. Winter stared down at the scroll perhaps this was it? Winter began to read the scroll, 'The Darkstalker was the son of Prince Arctic and a nightwing, he killed hundreds with the wave of his talon and even killed his own father.' As Winter continued reading it went into more and more detail, Winter felt sick, but felt obligated to finish reading the scroll.
By the time Winter finished he actually felt sick, Fatespeaker came over to check on him, "Winter, you look terrible! Go get something to eat and some sleep, me and Starflight will finish this." Winter quickly left, perhaps that's why he and his siblings were forbidden to read that scroll, so they wouldn't have to think or know of the Darkstalker.
