It had been a few weeks since the integration of the Nightwings into the rainwing kingdom, the volcano did explode a few days after they left. The sandwich succession war was over with Thorn being the new Queen, Moon was unsure what to do, she was having fun in the rainforest but she felt there was something else out there, calling to her.
Red suddenly approached Moon, "Hey Moon, are you ok?" Moon nodded and said, "Yes, I just feel like something is out there calling for me." Red then said, "Well, how's the perfect opportunity because in that direction is Jade Mountain, the Dragonets of Destiny requested that we all go there and help teach, although I think I'm going to stay here, it would be a perfect opportunity for you to find what you're looking for." Moon smiled and said, "Are you sure you'd be ok with us going out on our own like that?" Red nodded slightly and said, "Yes, as much as I wish I could keep you all safe and with me, I can't, plus I need to work on my training and can't do that while I'm watching over all of you."
Moon smiled and hugged her father, he hugged back tears falling down his face despite the proud smile, "You've all grown more then I care to admit, but remember, if you ever need anything please don't be afraid to ask." Red said while wiping the tears from his snout. Moon nodded and said, "Ok, when should we go?" Moon for the first time heard her dad's thoughts, he didn't want them to leave but knew he had to.
Moon then said, "We'll leave tomorrow night, we'll spend the whole day with you doing family activities and playing games." Red smiled slightly and said "Ok, well then, you should get some sleep, the moons are almost up." Moon nodded and quickly went back to her siblings resting spot and laid down, she could tell that Red was worried about them but also seemed to be afraid of something, but it must be safe enough if he'll send them there, right?
