Red had put Morrowseer in charge of helping run the nightwing market set up until he returned, he was going to Jade Mountain. Red continued to fly, it was late at night, he noticed Kinkajou far below hopping into a cave. Red quickly followed Kinkajou into the cave, he was slow and stealthy, he could hear them talking.
"Darkstalker, I met someone nice today, they're so cool!" Kinkajou said excitedly, Darkstalker then said, "That's pleasant to hear, but I fear our time might be cut short today." Red quickly walked in to Kinkajou's surprise, "Dad, what are you doing here?!?!?" Kinkajou said, Red quickly replied, "I could ask you the same question, why are you hanging out with an ancient evil dragon?"
Kinkajou looked surprised and said, "What do you mean evil? Darkstalker has been nothing but kind to me." Red then said, "Well, obviously you haven't heard of Darkstalker, he was a monster, a legend passed down from both nightwings and icewings." Red then continued, "He murdered his own father."
Kinkajou looked shocked and said, "Darkstalker, that's not true, is it?" Darkstalker sighed and said, "Unfortunately it is, although I had planned escaping and getting my revenge, hearing you and your family has taught me much." Kinkajou looked at Darkstalker, slightly betrayed, then Darkstalker looked at Red and said, "I can tell you have my scroll, I can only see two paths, one where I'm gone and one where I'm changed, I won't stop you."
Kinkajou seemed distressed, not knowing if she should protect Darkstalker or not, Red felt slight guilt well up inside him. Red then quickly tore off a piece of the scroll and wrote on it before placing it on Darkstalker.
Darkstalker began to shrink, his scales shifted to be slightly lighter and his tear drops disappear, Red had token away his powers and turned him into a 2 year old dragonet. Kinkajou looked at him and said, "Aw, he looks adorable!" Darkstalker seemed slightly confused and said, "In most the futures you choose to kill me, why spare me and make me a dragonet?"
"Well, I have a heart and you were but a dragonet so I'm giving you a second chance, as my dragonet, Peacemaker." Red said, Kinkajou squealed and hugged Peacemaker saying, "New sibling!" Red laughed slightly before taking Peacemaker from her and saying, "You should get to know your new siblings before we go home." Peacemaker nodded as they all flew up towards Jade Mountain.
