[Bus: Zloda, Belarus]
Ward, Coulson, Skye, and Fitzsimmons all went into Zloda when we landed, leaving May and I on the bus. I'm not really sure why I got stuck staying on the bus but Coulson's the boss. I decide to take this time to get some training in, working with the punching bag.
After awhile, I stop and put my comms in to check in on the mission when I hear a crash, "Guys, what's going on?" I ask
"It's her" I hear Skye say before there's another crash
"Skye!" I yell
[Later on]
May is up top while I'm still in the cargo hold, waiting for them to come back. Once they walk through, I immediately head to Skye, "Are you okay? Are you hurt?" I ask worried
She gives me a small smile, "I'm okay, Cass" She says before walking away
Ward and I follow Coulson to the command center, "Sir, Amador attacked you and your people. Whatever regard you hold for her isn't reciprocated. She just kicked us in the teeth" I say
"How's the team?" Coulson asks
"Rattled. No broken bones. We're lucky she just knocked the van over so she could get away. Probably take a while for our folks to refocus" Ward says before Skye walks in
"I think I can recover the data signature of that encrypted broadcast" We turn and look at her, "I don't understand it yet, but that's how she was watching us. Give me an hour. Maybe we can start watching back" She says before she walks away
Ward and I look at each other before we walk out after her.
[Lab]
Coulson, May, Ward and I walk to the lab, "Something's wrong. It's the same feed that was watching us in the van. Put it on the big monitor" Skye says
"Maybe the lens broke when the van rammed us" Simmons suggests
We walk to the big monitor, "I hope she broke more than that" Skye says
We watch the screen and see Amador looking in a mirror, "It's a mirror. Are we recording this?" Coulson asks
"We are now" Skye says
"Whoa!" Fitz says
"How are we seeing this? Where's the camera?" Coulson asks
We then watch her grab a tool and poke her eye with it, "It's her eye. She's the camera" May says
Then the image goes into x-ray, "It switches to backscatter when she closes her eyes" Fitz says
"You're a robot, can you do that?" Skye asks Ward causing me to stifle a laugh when I see his face
"Who has tech like this?" Ward asks ignoring Skye's comment
"We don't. Not like this. Not this small and internal, that's at least a decade ahead of anything I've seen. Though, now that I've seen it, I could maybe approximate. The backscatter, x-ray, a micro transceiver that somehow doesn't fry her brain, an internal power source" Fitz rambles
"All miniaturized. Honestly, it's..." Simmons starts
"That's genius" Fitz says
"...genius" Simmons finishes
The screen turns back to normal, "We have to bring her in" Coulson says
"We have to take her out. She's a weapon. I'll call HQ, see if we can bring a task force in to help us" May says
"Our team can handle this" Coulson says
The tension is so thick you could cut it with a knife. May walks toward Coulson, "I get it. You feel responsible. Maybe you pushed her too hard. But she tried to kill three members of our team" May says
"If she wanted us dead, we'd be dead" Coulson says
"We got lucky. You wanna risk our lives again?" May asks
"You told me you were ready for combat. That you had my back" Coulson says
"Don't ever doubt it. But you are defending this girl at the expense of the team" May says
"Because we protect our own" Coulson says
"Will all due respect, sir, she's not one of our own" Ward says
"Guys" Skye says
We look at the screen and see her writing down a question, "Why does she have to ask for permission?" Simmons asks
Then we see 'stand by' appear, "She's not being watched. She's being controlled. We have to find her. We'll take shifts watching the feed. Sooner or later, she'll look at something that will clue us in to her location" Coulson instructs
"I'll take the first watch" May says
