Then Fitz informs us another electrostatic even was happening close by so Ward, Coulson, May and I headed out to the source, "Fitz, what's the latest reading?" Coulson asks
"We're at 324 mega joules and growing stronger. Dangerous territory, sir" Fitz says
"There's a farmhouse a mile north of you right at the center of the signal. That's gotta be it" Skye says
"Skye, dig up everything you can on whoever lives at that farm. We need to know who we're dealing with" Coulson says
"Um, it's gone" Fitz says
"What's gone?" Coulson asks
"The electrostatic signal. It seemed to pulse then disappear" Fitz tells us
"We need a shortcut" Coulson tells May
May cuts through a field and we pull up to the farmhouse. We draw our weapons before we head towards the door, "Door's barred from the inside" Coulson says
"Hayloft's open" Ward says
"We could ram it with the truck" Coulson says
Then May kicks the door down, "Or do that" I say
We head inside before we see another floating body, "Scan the perimeter. Whoever did this couldn't have gotten far" Coulson says
Ward and I head out and scan the perimeter before heading back inside. We holster our guns, "No sigh of anyone. No tracks, no vehicles down the road" I say
"Skye, we need a real time sat surveillance on this area right now" Coulson says
"Hang on. I think I found something you might wanna see first. Sending it over now" She sends over a picture, "The guy who owns the farm's name is Frank Whalen. He's a volunteer firefighter at the same station as our first victim, Adam Cross" Skye says
"Our two victims knew each other?" Ward asks
"They were both responders when the aliens crashed New York" Skye says
"Two victims from the same firehouse found in the same weird way" I say
"We're looking for a killer" Skye says
[Later On]
Skye, Fitz and Simmons are at the farm house with the body while the rest of us head to the firehouse, "Skye, what'd you find out about the firehouse?" Coulson asks
"It turns out they sent an engine to New York with a dozen volunteers after the Chitauri invasion, including Cross and Whalen. Maybe it has something to do with why they were targeted?" Skye suggests
"Or how they were killed" Ward says
"You mean, like, an alien weapon?" Skye asks
"Let's just make sure we get to those firefighters before anyone else does" Coulson says
[Fire Station]
We pull up to the fire station before we get out and see a group of male firefighters at a table. We walk up, "Evening, gentleman. Agent Phil Coulson with SHIELD. We were on the ground with you in New York" Coulson says
"SHIELD, right. What's this all about?" One of them asks
"We'd like to ask you a few questions, take a look around" Coulson says
He nods our head and May, Ward, and I take a look around the station, "Cover the back door. Nobody comes in or out" Coulson says
As we are walking around May and I find the source, "Coulson, I found it. It's a Chitauri helmet" I say
May takes our her phone and records, "Fitzsimmons are you seeing this?" May asks
"It's not a weapon, yet it caused a cranial discharge" Simmons says
May and I go to grab it, "May, King, don't touch it!" We step back, "Sir, he's not using a weapon. He's infected. I think the helmet was the source of an alien virus" Simmons explains
May and I head up to where Coulson is and meet Ward. We stand in the doorway, "Adam and Frankie..." Mr. Diaz says
"Mr. Diaz, I'm putting the gun away now, okay?" Coulson tells him and does so
"Sir, he's at 600 mega joules and climbing! Sir!" Simmons yells
Coulson turns to us, "Clear everybody out. Clear everybody out now" He instructs us and we do so
We are standing outside the fire house as Coulson talks to Mr. Diaz, "You better get going, buddy. Go" Diaz says
Then Coulson walks out as the firehouse door shuts before the pulse emits.
[Morning: Fire House]
Fitz is checking Ward, May, Coulson and I for any signs of the virus, "All clean. No traces of electrostatic energy" Fitz says
Then we see the biohazard team bring out the Chitauri helmet before we walk over to Skye and Simmons, "Um, anyone else notice they're putting the infected alien thing on our truck?" Skye asks
"We're flying it to the Sandbox" Coulson says
"Sandbox?" Skye asks
"It's a SHIELD research facility across the Atlantic. They specialize in hazardous materials" Simmons says
"If what you suspect is true, that this is a virus...then those firefighters could be infected, and they're gonna need a cure. Find one" Coulson tells Simmons
"Yes, sir" Simmons says before we walk away
