Skye and I are watching Ward on the cameras do his routine, "5:30. On the dot. Every morning" Simmons walks up, "But there's no clock, no light. No way he can know what time it is" She says
"You've been watching him?" Skye asks
"Every day before I left. Every day since I got back. I don't know how you do it. Going down there, talking to him" Simmons says
"Neither do I" I say
"Sacrifices we make for valuable intel, right?" Skye tells her
"Yeah" Simmons says
"Jemma Simmons. Undercover at Hydra" Skye says
"I thought I was a dead woman at least four times" Simmons says
"I'm glad you're not" Skye says
"I second that" I say
"Me too. Be careful with him, Skye" Simmons says
"I am" Skye says before May walks out and alarms blare
"What's happening?" Skye asks
"There's been an attack on the UN" May tells us
Skye shuts the laptop as we run inside. Trip, Skye, and I watch it on the TV in the common area, "An attack today at the UN left six dead and dozens injured. Many have not been identified. Among the injured, SHIELD's biggest opponent, US Air Force Brigadier, General Glenn Talbot. SHIELD..." The news anchors says
Coulson walks in, "Sir, this wasn't us, was it?" Trip asks
"No. This is Hydra looking for revenge" We follow him, "Best guess? Daniel Whitehall had his people impersonate SHIELD to put the world's attention back on us" He explains
"So much for staying in the shadows" Skye says
Coulson shows a grumpy cat mug, "Somebody bring this from home?" We don't respond, "I want you three scouring government channels. See what we're up against" He says
"On it, sir" Trip says
"And Skye, this means the alien writing..." Coulson says
"Back burner" She says
"Just until we get this under control" He says
[Coulson's Office]
Skye and I are in Coulson's office as we watch Ward's brother denounce SHIELD, "SHIELD is a terrorist organization. And they should be treated as such" Senator Christian Ward says
"Is that what you plan to speak about at the UN's emergency session tomorrow?" The reporter asks
"What I plan to do is lay out a proposal for a multinational police force that will target those suspected of ties with SHIELD, using any and all means necessary" Senator Christian Ward says
Coulson looks at us, "Anyone suspected of ties? And who determines that?" Julian Beckers asks, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, "Belgium will never accept this proposal. It destroys the very idea of citizens' rights"
"Mr. Beckers, if you want to welcome SHIELD at your borders with open are, be my guest. But this infestation needs to me exterminated" Senator Christian Ward says
"Guess being a douchebag runs in the family" I say
"Are you surprised?" Coulson tells us
Coulson walks behind his desk, "Ward's brother never cared about SHIELD before" Skye says
"Not openly" Coulson says
"Yeah, but Hunter said that Talbot was working with a Senator who had deep pockets. You think it's him?" Skye asks
