*Scene: Chris's school*

*Danny, Frances, and Helen are playing basketball*

"(No way!) (Two points!),"said Students.

*The basketball lands through the net. Nearby, Mr. Stewart is secretly contacting his superiors*

"This is Chalkboard Charlie calling Homeroom. Chris Thorndyke is still absent from school,"said Mr. Stewart.

*The basketball stops rolling when it collides with Mr. Stewart's right leg*

"Get the ball, Frances,"said Danny. "Mr Stewart? Can you throw me the ball, please?,"asked Frances.

*Mr. Stewart picks up the ball*

"Hey, Mr Stewart! Why don't you come and play?,"Danny asked. "Uh... me?,"asked Mr. Stewart. "Yeah, it'll be fun!,"Frances said. "All right,"He said.

*He takes the ball and dribbles it towards the net. He dunks the ball through the net*

"Right in the net! That was an awesome shot, Mr. Stewart!,"yelled Danny. *Rubs behind head* Well, I was an alternate in the practice squad back in college... *Helen giggles* Did I... say something funny, Helen?,"asked Mr. Stewart. "I was just thinking that I'm happy we got you as our teacher,"said Helen. "Really?,"He asked. "We wasn't sure about you at first but you're cool,"said Danny. "Thanks, Danny,"Mr. Stewart said.

*Scene Change: Mystic Ruins - Tails' workshop*

*Chris is searching for Tails*

"I thought Tails, Sonic and Maria would be here in the workshop. I wonder where they are. Maybe they took the X-Tornado out and I guess I just missed them. I can't wait to show them what I got! Sonic and Maria are gonna be really proud of me when they sees that I found a Chaos Emerald!,"said Chris.

*Scene Change: Mystic Ruins*

*Sonic, Maria and Tails are walking together. They spot Knuckles, who has his back to them*

"It's Knuckles,"said Tails.

*Knuckles smirks. It is revealed that he is standing over an unconscious Eggman*

"Eggman,"said Sonic. "Hm,"said Knuckles.

*Sonic, Maria and Tails approach*

"What'd you do to him?,"asked Maria. "Nothing. I found him this way,"Knuckles said.

*Tails pokes Eggman with a stick to see if Eggman is alive, and is surprised when Eggman sits up*

"Whaah! He's alive!,"yelled Tails. "Of course I am,"said Dr. Eggman. "What happened?,"asked Sonic. "Chaos turned against me,"Dr. Eggman said. "How come?,"asked Maria. "Because... it wants to use the power of the Chaos Emeralds all for itself,"He explained.

*Knuckles reaches for Eggman's throat*

"Tell us where Chaos is or else!,"yelled Knuckles. "Take it easy, Knuckles!,"said Sonic. "How dare you threaten me! I'd love to teach you a lesson, but unfortunately I have to fly!,"said Dr. Eggman.

*He mysteriously rises into the air*

"He's getting away,"said Tails. "You should look up,"said Maria.

*It is revealed that Eggman is being airlifted by a hot-air balloon manned by Bocoe and Decoe*

"Okay, start reeling him up,"said Decoe. "The winch is jammed!,"yelled Bocoe.
"We can pull him up ourselves,"Decoe said. 'No way. All that weight will burn out our motors,"Bocoe said.
"Don't just leave me hanging here like a salami!,"yelled Dr. Eggman. "Try not to get agitated. The cable could break,"said Decoe. "Just enjoy the ride,"said Bocoe. "There's not time to lose. My plans for world domination depend on Chaos. We have to track down that renegade right away!,"yelled Dr. Eggman. "Roger!,"Decoe said.
