"Last time on Sonic X, as our friends planned to greet the new year's sunrise, they were totally shocked by a total eclipse! Soon Dr. Eggman shed light to the mystery: a malfunctioning Egg Moon was causing the super sunblock. He begged the President to let him lighten things up, and he built giant Mirror Towers to powers his specially-designed Sunshine Balls. But just as Eggman was being hailed as a hero, someones started topping the towers! Those someones was Sonic and Maria, and now the citizens are dead set on stopping them. *Scene: Thorndyke Mansion - Living Room*

*Having finally escaped the protesters, Chris, Chuck, Amy, and Tanaka race inside and slam the door shut behind them. But it is no use, as the protesters break down the door anyway. Cream clings to her mother. Ella shelters Chris as the protesters surround the Thorndykes and Sonic and Maria’s friends*

"Where's Sonic and Maria?!,"asked Jerome.

*The other protesters shout their agreement*

"They're not here, so go away!,"yelled Chris. "Then tell us where they are!,"Jerome yelled. "We know you think they knocked those towers over,"said Tails. "But they'd never do that!,"said Amy. "Yeah, don't forget, Sonic and Maria's on our side! *Thinking* At least, I think they is... The only one Sonic and Maria are against is... [Shocked] Dr. Eggman! They'd do anything to beat Eggman!,"Chris yelled. "Yeah, right! *To the other protesters* He's just trying to protect them! Let's get 'em!,"yelled Jerome.

*They close in on the Thorndykes and Sonic and Maria ’s friends*

"Alright. Back off!,"yelled Amy.

*She brings out her hammer*

"Amy!,"yelled Chuck.

*With one mighty swing, she smashes a hole in the wall behind them with her hammer, then points out the hole*

"Go!,"She yelled.

*Everyone heads out through the hole. They are shocked to see that the protesters are outside too, cutting them off again with Jerome at the front. Suddenly Sam Speed’s S-Team patrol car roars into the driveway, siren blaring, causing the protesters to back away. The other S-Team cars have also arrived. Sam speaks through a voice amplifier*

"All right, everybody, listen up! *He opens his hatch* If any one of you yahoos lays a finger on them, you'll have to deal with me!,"yelled Sam.

*At Sam’s words, Jerome initially tenses for a confrontation, but then slumps in defeat with a disappointed groan when he realizes fighting the Speed Team is a losing prospect that would lead to potential jail time, and the protesters disperse and leave. The Thorndykes and Sonic’s friends sigh in relief*

"They're leaving,"said Chris. "Ah... Goodness, that was certainly a close shave,"said Ella.

*Sam gets out of his car and removed his helmet*

"Looks like the S-Team showed up just in time. *He walks over to Chris* You doing okay, buddy?,"asked Sam. "Yeah... *Thinking* Oh, Sonic... Maria... It can't be true... It just can't be!,"Chris said.
