Chapter 4- Official

NO ONE'S POV

The dimly lit room was bathed in the soft glow of the television screen as Hanni and Yeonjun laid cuddled together in bed, engrossed in the movie they were watching. But as the scenes flickered across the screen, Yeonjun couldn't help but notice that Hanni seemed distant, her thoughts far away from the movie.

Concern can be seen across his face, Yeonjun gently paused the movie and turned to Hanni. "Hey, what's wrong?" he asked, his voice filled with genuine worry.

Hanni sighed and sat up, her brows furrowing with the seriousness of the matter. Sensing the gravity of her mood, Yeonjun also rose to a sitting position, his eyes fixed on her.

With a heavy heart, Hanni began to explain the happenings that had been troubling her for days—the dare that Karina had challenged her with.

She told him the whole story. "I've been wanting to tell you this for days because I respect you, Jun." Hanni said as she held Yeonjun's had then caressing it. She's emphasizing her desire to respect Yeonjun and involve him in the decision-making process.

"I wanted to ask for your permission if I could accept it for the sake of my love for my squad and cheerleading. It's also my long childhood dream to be a cheer captain." Hanni said

Yeonjun's expression shifted from curiosity to slight irritation upon hearing about the dare. "You know, Han," he began, "I appreciate that you want to involve me in this, but I can't say I'm thrilled about the idea of you flirting with some random girl."

Hanni hastened to reassure him, her voice sincere and earnest. "Yeonjun, please understand, I have no interest in girls romantically. I don't see myself being in a relationship with a girl. It's not about that at all."

A sense of relief washed over Yeonjun as he absorbed Hanni's words. "Well, that's a relief to hear," he said, his tone softening. "But if I'm going to agree to this, there's one condition." He said smiling

Hanni leaned in, eager to hear his condition. "What is it, Jun?"

Yeonjun's eyes held a glint of mischief as he replied, "You have to be official with me, Hanni. If you're going to do this dare, I want you to be my girlfriend."

Hanni's face lit up with a radiant smile, and she didn't hesitate to answer. "Yes, Yeonjun, I would love to be your girlfriend."

Yeonjun couldn't contain his joy, and with an excited leap, he jumped onto the bed, making Hanni burst into laughter. He pulled her into a warm hug, his heart brimming with happiness. Leaning in, he placed a tender kiss on her cheek, sealing their newfound commitment.

"I wasn't expecting for you to answer me right away" Yeonjun said happily as he gave Hanni a hug. Hanni reciprocate his hug.

"You already proved a lot to me, Yeonjun. You've been courting me for months. You take good care of me. And also shown me trust, especially in this dare." Hanni said appreciating Yeonjun "it's hard not to fall for you, Jun" she said caressing his cheek

"Thank you, Hanni. You didn't know how much you made me happy." Yeonjun said caressing Hanni's hand that caressing his cheek.

"But we'll have to keep this a secret until I finished the dare." Hanni said smiling slightly.
"I understand, Han." Yeonjun said happily

Hanni had suggested keeping their love under wraps until the completion of the dare, and Yeonjun had eagerly agreed, a radiant smile on his face. He was thrilled to be officially Hanni's boyfriend after months of patiently pursuing her heart.

As they continued their conversation, Yeonjun had an important condition for Hanni regarding the dare.

"What is it, Yeonjun?" Hanni asked softly.

"Promise me that there would be no kissing or any other physical intimacies with Minji, except for the flirty exchanges required by the dare" Yeonjun said

Hanni, always considerate of Yeonjun's feelings, asked, "What about a hug, Jun?"

Yeonjun hesitated, his brow furrowing briefly as he contemplated the request. Finally, he nodded, a touch of reluctance in his voice. "Alright, a hug is fine."

Relief washed over Hanni, and she couldn't help but express her gratitude. "Thank you, Yeonjun, for being so understanding and supportive. It means a lot to me."

Yeonjun smiled warmly, his affection for Hanni shining through. "Of course, Han. I understand how much you care about your squad and your dream of becoming the cheer captain. I'm here to support you in any way I can."

With that promise and understanding between them, Hanni and Yeonjun sealed their commitment to each other, ready to face the challenges that lay ahead. Their love was a secret for now, but it was a secret that would continue to grow, strengthening the bond between them as they navigated the complexities of the dare.

"Mom! Hye and Dani's here. We'll have a sleep over in my room" Hanni said happily

"They're already outside."

"Okay, Honey" Mrs. Pham said with a bright smile

Hanni opened the door and saw Danielle and Hyein. Carrying their backpacks.

"what's the tea!" Hyein asked as soon as Hanni opened the door. All of them laughed

"I'll tell you guys when we're in the room." Hanni said giggling

The two entered Hanni's house. The anticipation is noticeable as Hanni told them in their group chat that she has some tea to spill. They had come together to spend some quality time and know what was the tea that Hanni has in store for the evening.

Hanni's mother warmly greeted them as they walked passed the kitchen.

"Hi auntie!" Hyein and Danielle greeted happily.

"Hi you two! How's school?" Mrs. Pham asked happily

"We're doing great!" Hyein said "I almost got a perfect score on our quiz last time"

"Sameee here!" Danielle said then Mrs. Pham chuckled

"That's great kids. Keep up with the high grades" Mrs. Pham said smiling brightly. "I'll bring you snacks upstairs later" she added promising snacks later on.

"Thank you auntie!" Danielle and hyein said happily
