NO ONE'S POV
Hanni's heart raced as she walked into her classroom, greeted by the friendly faces of Hyein and Danielle. The warmth of their smiles was infectious, and she couldn't help but return the gesture.
Hyein's sharp eyes spotted the bite mark on her neck, a remnant of her wild moment with Minji at the café. "What the heck? Is that a hickey?" She said
Hanni's happiness quickly faded and turned into nervousness and frown.
Danielle, ever the mischievous one, joined in, "Oh, Hanni, looks like someone had quite the encounter with Minji." They exchanged knowing glances, playfully teasing her. They knew Hanni went with Minji after their cheerdance practice.
Hanni's eyes darted around the room in a panic before she blurted out, "No, it wasn't Minji! It was Yeonjun!" The words left her mouth before she could stop them, a desperate attempt to shift the attention.
Suddenly, the room seemed to buzz with curiosity. Just then, Yeonjun himself made an appearance, his tall frame filling the doorway.
"Hey girls!" He greeted Danielle and Hyein with a nod and then, unable to resist, wrapped his arms around Hanni's in a gentle back hug. As he did, his eyes fell on the bite mark, and his expression darkened in disappointment. "Hanni, who did this?" He asked
Hanni's nerves kicked in, but she pointed at Danielle, "It was Danielle. She gave me the bite mark." She said panicking
Danielle and Hyein exchanged skeptical glances, unable to believe that Hanni had the audacity in pinning the blame on her friend.
However, Danielle decided to cover for her friend, trying to lessen the tension. Yeonjun looked at Danielle, raising an eyebrow, "So, Danielle, you're giving hickeys to your friends now?" He said
Danielle rolled her eyes, dismissing the notion. "Yeonjun, we were just playing around. No need to be so serious." She said then scoffed
Hanni sensed the awkwardness in the room and decided to change the subject. "Hey babe, why are you even here, Yeonjun?" She asked softly
Hanni breathed a sigh of relief as Yeonjun's stern expression softened. He turned his attention back to Hanni and explained why he was there, "I haven't seen or talked to you in a while, Hanni. I've been missing you. Don't you miss me? Are you busy with that Minji?" He said with a hint of disappointment in his voice.
"Hey, of course I missed you, silly. Me and the girls just kept on having a girls day out. I haven't been talking and seeing Minji for days now, actually." Hanni lied. Danielle and Hyein is still in disbelief how Hanni could lie face to face with them. They caught her red handed and Hanni knew about it.
"Thank goodness, thought you're enjoying Minji's company rather than me." Yeonjun said smiling
"I could never, Jun. You're the one that I love." Hanni said softly
Hyein sees an opportunity for humor "Hey you two lovebirds! You two should really get a room and be all lovey-dovey there." She said sarcastically
Yeonjun and Hanni shared a laugh, the tension from earlier dissipating. Hanni suggested, "How about we have lunch together, Yeonjun?" He eagerly agreed, and with a warm smile, he excused himself, telling Hyein and Danielle, "I'll see you all later."
As Yeonjun walked out of the room, Hanni turned her attention back to Danielle and Hyein, but their expressions were a mix of cheekiness and mild annoyance.
Danielle couldn't help herself and said, "Hanni, you've got the audacity to point at me for the hickey I didn't even give you?"
Hanni felt a pang of guilt as she realized her hasty decision to blame Danielle. She sighed and offered a sincere apology, "I'm really sorry, Dani. I just didn't know what to do when Yeonjun found out about the hickey, and I panicked." She said
