NO ONE'S POV
At the university gate, Minji skillfully maneuvered her big bike to a stop in front of Hanni, who greeted her with an infectious, bright smile. "Hey!" Hanni said. Minji, always composed, took off her helmet and handed it to Hanni,"What about you?" Hanni asks confused.
"I didn't bring a spare helmet."
"But it could be dangero-"
"Just wear the helmet. I'll be fine." Minji said coldly.
Hanni pouted, "Okay, Thanks" she said before hopping onto the back seat of the sports bike. She wrapped her arms around Minji tightly, feeling a sense of exitement as they set off.
Hanni bit her lip as she's kind of nervous because she'll do something bold later. Something that she won't be doing to any other person rather than Minji as an exception.
With the wind rushing past them and the engine humming, Hanni couldn't resist the opportunity to tease Minji a bit, especially after Karina's remark about Minji's seeming unfazed of her efforts.
Hanni leaned in close, her lips almost brushing Minji's ear, and playfully remarked, "You know, Minji, you smell really good."
Minji's reaction was subtle but undeniable. She bit her lip, a faint blush gracing her cheeks as she responded, "Thanks."
Encouraged by Minji's reaction, Hanni continued her playful teasing, determined to break through Minji's composed exterior. "And I have to say, Minji, you've got a really nice body. Must be all those extra classes keeping you fit." She said then giggled
Minji chuckled softly, finding herself enjoying Hanni's spirited banter more than she cared to admit. "Well, studying and riding this heavy bike do help," she admitted, her tone lighter than usual. " but you shutting your mouth will help me more. I don't like talking, Hanni." Minji said
Hanni felt disbelief, "Damn, your words hurt you know, Minji. Is that how you treat someone who admires you?" Hanni said pouting
"I don't flirt, Hanni."
"Wanna practice? I can teach you." Hanni said playfully as she tightens her hug around Minji. Her nose touches Minji's bare neck, teasing Her.
Minji bit her inner chin. Hanni is becoming unbearable for her. She wished she was on her leisure place wherein she could get pleasure and do what she loves.
As they continued their ride, Hanni's teasing persisted, and it was clear that she was making a dent in Minji's emotional and rational control over herself.
When they finally arrived at Minji's house, Hanni couldn't hide her surprise at the size of the place. "Is this really your family's house, Minji?" she asked, wide-eyed.
Minji corrected her. "No, it's just my house. It's a bit big for me, I know."
"Do you work?" Hanni asked curiously.
"No, my dad does." She said then sighs
"What's his work?" Hanni asked but ended up getting a cold shoulder from Minji.
Hanni's eyes widened in awe as she stepped into Minji's house, greeted by the stunning interior that exuded modern elegance and impeccable architecture. It was a home that seemed to belong in the pages of an interior design magazine, a far cry from her own modern spacious house design but not as gigantic spacious like Minji's house. She realized that there was much more to Minji than met the eye.
Their entry didn't go unnoticed, and they were met by a friendly nanny, "Minmin, you're back!" The middle aged woman greeted happily. Hanni giggled after hearing Minji's adorable nickname given by her nanny.
"Hi, Nana Rose." Minji greeted her nanny with a warm hug. This is a new sight for Hanni. Seeing Minji's sweet and warm actions towards her nanny. Hanni couldn't help but smile. "This is Hanni, my schoolmate"
"Hi, I'm Hanni. Nice to meet you." Hanni said as she reached to shook hands with Minji's nanny but the middle aged woman gave Hanni a warm hug. Hanni didn't hesitate to hug back.
"Nana, can you prepare us dinner. Please bring it upstairs." Minji asked while smiling warmly to the old woman. Hanni felt unusual of Minji's soft voice. She was used to Minji's cold voice and cold Demeanor aswell as that resting bitch face.
Nanny Rose nodded with a kind smile. "Of course, Minmin. I'll have dinner brought up as soon as I finished cooking. I'm happy that you finally brought someone new here. I'm glad you're making friends aside from Haerin" Nanny Rose said
Hanni was surprised that the woman knows Haerin. 'So they're only friends. They must be very close.' Hanni thought
As Nanny Rose left to prepare their meal, Hanni couldn't help but recall the girl she had seen Minji greeted earlier, now she knows why there was an easy familiarity between them.
"Minji, Is Haerin your childhood friend?" Hanni asked, her curiosity getting the best of her.
Minji nodded, her expression softening,"Yes, me and Haerin have been best friends since we were kids. She's my only friend." Minji said. Hanni couldn't help but feel a bit sad for Minji. 'only friend?' Hanni thought
Hanni couldn't help but give a soft smile, understanding the significance of such a long-lasting friendship. "It's lovely that you have a friend like that, someone who's been there with you through so much."
Minji nodded, a hint of nostalgia in her eyes. "Yes, we usually spend a lot of time together."
"We can be friends!" Hanni said happily
"I don't need anyone else. I'm fine alone most of the time." Minji said "I can be happy even without a lot of friends. I'll just be exhausted if I have them around"
Hanni gave Minji a pity look, she wondered what happened to Minji and why does she act like how she acts right now, "Well I'm here if you need someone." Hanni said then holds Minji's shoulder but the latter removes her hand.
"L-let's go in my room" Minji uncomfortably said as she walks away to Hanni.
Hanni follows the latter to her room. She's still amazed how beautiful Minji's house interior was as they walk through the hallway.
