NO ONE'S POV

After her encounter with the mysterious woman in the 'MJ' cap, Hanni returned to her table, her mind buzzing with questions. She had abandoned her coffee-stained tray and now held only her untouched sandwich. Danielle and Chaewon, immediately noticed her distracted demeanor.

"Hey, Han, everything alright?" Danielle asked with a concerned tone.

Chaewon chimed in, "You look like something's bothering you. Did something happen?"

Hanni took a moment to collect her thoughts before replying, "Yeah, something did happen. I accidentally spilled my hot coffee on a woman over there, she's wearing a black cap, and she had this confusing reaction, but then she just left. It's been bothering me, and I can't get it out of my head."

Curiosity took over, her friends exchanged glances and then shook their heads. Most of them had no idea who the woman might be. But then Rei, a studious and observant member of the group, spoke up.

"I think I know who you're talking about," Rei said, a contemplative look on her face. "That woman in the 'MJ' cap, right? She's Kim Minji, she's our classmate."

Hanni's eyes widened with interest. "You know her? Can you tell me more about her?"

Rei nodded, "Sure. Minji is known for being quiet and introverted, although She's incredibly smart, one of the top students in our class." Rei said

Kyujin, with a smile, joined in, "Absolutely. Minji is even one of the valedictorian contenders along with Karina in our batch."

Karina sighed and glanced around, as if to ensure no one else was eavesdropping on their conversation. "But you know, Hanni, Minji is fiercely competitive. She's determined to be our batch's valedictorian, and she's willing to go to great lengths to outperform everyone."

Hanni's curiosity deepened as she absorbed
this new information. "What do you mean, 'great lengths'?"

Karina leaned in closer, lowering her voice to a hushed tone. "I've heard rumors that Minji can be ruthless when it comes to academics. She'll do whatever it takes to maintain her top spot, even if it means sacrificing social interactions or compromising on other aspects of her life."

Hanni couldn't help but feel a mix of intrigue and concern for Minji.

"Karina is even competing with her now, because both of them are our batch's valedictorian contenders." Chaewon said then chuckled.

Karina sighed, "I won't easily back down also, Chaewon" she said then she rolls her eyes "I'll also do whatever I can to get that spot." She said then smirks.

"I hope you don't end up missing your brain, because you need it boss." Kyujin said

Karina turned looking at the younger gazing hard, which made everyone laugh

"Ahem, anyways." Karina replied

"I Have good News!" Kyujin Stated all Smiley
"I Do Also!" Rei Said As her eyes were full of Lust
"I DO ALSO!" Chaewon yelled which made everyone look at her, she quickly got up and bowed

"Sorry Everyone ignore us here." She said bowing, she then sat back down

"Kyujin first, then Me, Then Chae. Go!" Rei started.

"Eunchae is taking me out!" Kyujin said squealing "Same Liz and I are going to become official!" Rei said "Yunjin Got me flowers!" Chaewon Stated reading a card Yunjin got for her.

"God these gays." Hanni Muttered under her breath. But then smiled again

"But, what She sounds interesting.." Hanni said smiling

"Sis, don't. She's actually weird. Just by looking at her, she already looks boring." Karina said laughing

"And besides, why are you even interested to a weird nerd?" Karina said then scoffed "You're the most popular here in our university. Shouldn't you be interested in someone who's attractive like you? What about your jock, Yeonjun?"

"I'm not interested in your classmate in that way, Karina" Hanni said then rolls her eyes. "I'm just curious. She seems different. And Yeonjun and I were perfectly fine. We have this mutual understanding towards each other just without label, you know." Hanni said giggling

"Well you better make it official with him or else someone could take him away from you." Isa said smirking

"He won't do that to me, Isa. I trust him." Hanni said smiling then she took a bite of her sandwich.

As Hanni continued eating her lunch with her friends, she still has much to ponder, especially her interaction with the black hat latter.

In a brightly lit classroom, the air was thick with anticipation as the professor began to mention the scores of the recent long test that had taken place just a few days ago. Rows of students sat in nervous anticipation, their eyes fixed on the front of the room, where the professor stood with a stack of graded papers in hand.

Karina, in particular, was filled with a sense of anticipation. Her heart raced as she hoped to hear her name and the impressive score she had achieved.

At the far right corner of the room, Haerin, her quiet and brilliant classmate who had become her academic rival, sat with an air of her usual chill demeanor.

The professor's voice rang out, "Kim Minji," and the room seemed to hold its breath. Minji's name echoed through the classroom, followed by the professor's congratulations for achieving a perfect score. "Well done, Minji, you got a perfect score!" he said with a knowing smile. "I expected nothing less from you."

Karina's face visibly scrunched in irritation. She had hoped to outshine Minji this time, but it seemed that the highly desired valedictorian spot was still out of reach.

Soon after, the professor called out, "Karina," and her heart raced as her score was revealed. She had fallen 21 points behind Minji. The disappointment washed over her, and her expression dropped. The professor raised an eyebrow and asked, "Karina, what happened? Your score is lower than expected. If you want to beat Minji, you'll need to study harder."

Karina, her face turning slightly red, felt a pang of embarrassment as she replied, "I'm sorry, Professor Kim. I'll try harder next time."

Deep inside, though, Karina's disappointment fueled a determination to prove herself. She had set her sights on becoming their batch's valedictorian, and she was not ready to give up.

As the class came to an end, the professor made an announcement. " Minji, I have no doubt that you will become our batch's valedictorian. Just continue with your academic excellence and everything will be easy for you"

"Thank you, sir" Minji said with a low voice but enough for their professor and her classmates to hear.

Karina, sitting quietly in her seat, couldn't help but scoff silently. The challenge was set, and Karina was determined to prove that she had what it takes to outshine Minji and claim her highly desired title of valedictorian. Karina knew the academic rivalry between them had only intensified, and the battle for the top spot was far from over.
