NO ONE'S POV
The clock had just struck midnight when Hanni and Minji finished their late-night snack. It had been a hell of a busy evening, but now it was time for Hanni to head home.
"Hanni," Minji said, her tone got back to her cold and firm voice, "you're not going anywhere tonight. You can sleep here if you want. I've got a lot of guest room available."
Hanni furrowed her brow, surprised by Minji's sudden insistence. The Minji she knew earlier was a Minji who didn't want her around and now she asks her to spend the night at her house. "Minji, I appreciate your hospitality, but it's getting late. I should really get home."
Minji stood up from her seat, her expression still determined. "Hanni, those clothes you're wearing? Consider them yours now. I want you to have them."
Hanni glanced down at the comfortable shirt she had borrowed from Haerin earlier. "But, Minji, I can't just take your clothes. I mean, I really like this shirt, but..."
Minji interrupted her gently, a hint of a smile touching her lips. "Hanni, just accept it."
Hanni felt thankful, "Thank you, Minji."
Minji then disappeared briefly into her room and returned holding a pair of pants. "And these, you can't go home only wearing that." she said, handing a cargo pants to Hanni, "you might need them. It's a bit chilly outside."Hanni accepted the pants, moved by Minji's thoughtfulness. "You really didn't have to do this, Minji."
Minji shrugged nonchalantly, though her eyes betrayed a hint of vulnerability. "Consider it my way of saying 'thank you' for the delicious sandwich "
As they prepared to leave, Minji surprised Hanni once again by insisting on driving her home. "I won't take no for an answer," Minji stated firmly.
Hanni couldn't help but smile, grateful for Minji's insistence. "Alright, if you insist master." She playfully said then Minji rolled her eyes.
During their motorcycle ride, even though Minji's demeanor remained somewhat reserved, Hanni couldn't ignore the new sense of closeness between them. Minji's actions spoke volumes even though her expressions were cold.
When they arrived at Hanni's home, she turned to Minji with heartfelt gratitude. "Thank you, Minji, for everything – the clothes, the ride, and most importantly for tutoring me"
Minji nodded, her aloof exterior softened by the sincerity of the moment. Hanni got off Minji's big bike then she removes her helmet and gave it to Minji.
"Bye!" Hanni said happily as she waves goodbye. Minji then turned on the engine then drove away.
"Don't feel attached.. She needs you that's why she's close. After that she'll be gone." Minji said to herself then she increases her speed on the street. Minji doubts Hanni's feelings towards her. She's too smart to believe someone like Hanni who is so popular and with such beauty to like someone like her, a weird nobody and a introverted-emotionally unstable shit. "She just wants tutoring.. nothing more and nothing else." She once again said to herself.
This is how Minji comforts herself.
Growing up with Nannies and without her parents care and support affected her negatively. She got used to emotionaly support herself and she got attachment issues. She didn't want to socialize with other people. Her mother died when she was just 4 years old. After her mother died, her dad left her with her Nanny Rose. Since then, her father didn't have the time for Minji. He would always be on his business trips and work late. He would give anything Minji wants materially but he wasn't be able to care and support her emotionally and physically.
As much as possible, Minji doesn't want to get attached with someone else because she thinks that at the end of the day, she got no one else but herself. That's why she's cold and introverted towards other people.

The next morning, as Hanni went to Minji's room during their break, Hanni couldn't help but notice a stark change in Haerin's demeanor. The warmth and kindness that she had experienced the previous night had seemingly disappeared, replaced by a distant and cold disposition.
"Minji.." Hanni called the attention of Minji. She leaned on the long table to face Minji. The latter greeted with a curt nod, not meeting Hanni's eyes. Feeling a wave of disappointment, Hanni gathered her courage and spoke up.
"Minji, is everything okay? You're acting differently from last night. Did I do something to upset you?"
Minji finally turned to Hanni, her expression remaining stoic. "No, you didn't do anything to upset me. This is just how I am."
Hanni felt a knot forming in her stomach, unsure of how to interpret Minji's words. "
But we had such a great time last night, and you were so kind and friendly. What's changed?" she said her face frowned
Minji sighed, as if weary of the conversation.
"Look, Hanni, we had fun last night and that's it, but that doesn't mean things have changed between us. I'm not the kind of person who shows emotions easily."
Hanni couldn't help but feel hurt and confused by Minji's response.
"But we're friends, right?"
Minji's gaze remained cold and distant. "We're just schoolmates, Hanni, and that's as far as it goes. I helped you out because you needed it, but it's not going to become a regular thing."
The weight of Minji's words hit Hanni like a Pile of bricks. She had hoped their encounter last night got them closer, but Minji's sudden coldness shattered that illusion. "So, there won't be a second tutoring session?" she asked
Minji shook her head, her tone final. "No, Hanni. We talked about this. I agreed to help you just once." she said then looked at the windows beside her, looking at the university's track and field.
Hanni felt a lump in her throat, and her disappointment was visible. She had hoped for more from last night, but it seemed that Minji decided to maintain her distant and reserved demeanor.
With a heavy heart, Hanni quietly said, "Alright, Minji. I understand. I won't bother you anymore." She said.
Minji simply nodded and turned away, leaving Hanni feeling isolated and rejected. As she walked away, Hannj couldn't help but wonder why Minji had changed so suddenly. Her heart aches. Her breathing becomes unstable and she felt her eyes tearing up.
"what the fuck, Hanni. Why would you cry because of a simple dare." she told herself. She's frustrated with Minji keeping her true self hidden behind a cold facade.
