TW: Slight Impulse angst

3rd Person POV

Impulse sits up, hugging his knees, not again, stupid stupid nightmares. The phantom rubs his face, carefully getting out of bed, as not to wake Zed and Tango, making his way outside. Impulse takes a deep breath, hugging himself tightly. Limited Life was weeks ago, and yet he's still having nightmares.

"Impy? What are you doing up?"

"Tango, you should be sleeping."

"So should you, what's wrong?"

"Nothing, just couldn't sleep."

Tango hugs him from behind, resting his head on Impulse's shoulder, "Another nightmare?"

"...Yeah."

"Limited Life?"

"Yeah."

"Want to talk about it?"

"Not really."

"I'm here if you do."

"Thank you, you aren't having nightmares, are you?"

"No, I'm ok."

"Good, why are you up?"

"I was cold, needed another blanket."

"You should go back to bed, its not exactly warm out here."

"Are you coming back to bed?"

"I will in a second."

"Ok, don't stay out here too long, you'll get cold."

"I won't, don't worry."

"Easier said then done, you better be there when I wake up again." He leans up, kissing the slightly taller's cheek before going back inside.

Impulse sighs, rubbing his face, it was a beautiful night, and he hasn't exactly enjoyed the moonlight in a while. Perhaps he could stay out here a little longer.

Grian tilts his head in confusion, finding Impulse sitting on his roof. He lands next to the house, looking up at the taller.

"Impulse? What are you doing up this late?"

"Oh Grian, hi, what are you doing up?"

"I was restocking my shop. What are you doing up?"

"Couldn't sleep, figured I'd enjoy the night before it's gone."

"True, no Bdubs to sleep it away."

"Heh, yeah."

"Do you miss it?"

"Miss what?"

"Being up every night, not having to worry about players and the burning sun."

"What are you talking about?"

Grian gives him a knowing look, "Come on, Mr. Phantom, don't feign innocence now."

"How did you know?"

"I have my ways."

"Well then, yes, sometimes I do miss it."

"Well then, you should spend more time outside at night."

"Yeah..."

Grian smiles, "You should head back to bed though, night Impulse."

Grian disappears, and Impulse sighs, heading back inside. The taller gets back in bed, holding Tango close and falling asleep.
