3rd Person POV

EX sits on the couch, the sun glaring into the room, reminding the other it was another perfect day on the server. It was far too quiet for his liking, thoughts being the only sound in the room.

"You miss him."

EX doesn't answer his twin, turning his head to look at the admin leaning against the door frame.

"I thought you had self-care day or whatever it was."

"Cub had to leave early." He pushes off the wood, moving from the door to sit next to EX.

"So, you decided to come bug me."

"I came to see how you're holding up."

"I'm doing great."

"It's been weeks EX, just talk to him already."

"I can't."

"You can, you're choosing not to."

"I don't even know what to say to him."

"You don't have to say anything, let him do the talking."

"...What if he doesn't want to see me?"

"Trust me, he does. But if you really aren't sure, Grian is a lot better at the romance advice then I am."

"Is he home?"

"He should be, if not then try the shopping district."

"Alright, thanks X."

"Anything to put a smile back on your face."

EX rolls his eyes, heading out toward Grian's house. He waits until the parrot isn't hanging over the edge of his platform to call out to him.

"Hey Grian! You have a second?"

"Hold on!"

EX wrings his wrist as he waits for the parrot to finish up his detailing before flying down to meet him.

"EX, my favorite little gift holder. What can I do for you?"

"I need your help Xelqua."

"Did something happen?"

"It's about Hels."

"What did he do now."

"Nothing, nothing, X wants...I want to talk to him but I'm...."

"Afraid?"

"Afraid, pft, no."

"Mhmm alright, what do you need me to do exactly?"

"Do you think....do you think he wants to see me? Do you know where he is?"

"Well, I know he's at your guy's little hideout in the Nether and I know he wants to see you. He feels horrible EX, he's been asking about you for weeks."

"He has?"

"Yes, Wels was telling me about how crazy Hels has been. A real nightmare apparently."

"How so?"

"Wels claims he's been busying himself with talking to the others, only Hels way of talking is insults wrapped in compliments. Which actually gives me an idea for a permit challenge. Anyway, yes Hels wants to see you and you should go see him. Let him do the talking though, he's the one that needs to apologize, not you. I better not find out you apologized."

"I won't, you said he's at home?"

"Yep, and if he does anything bad you tell me, ok?"

"Ok, uh thank you."

Grian nods, "Your welcome, now go on, go get your boyfriend back."

EX rolls his eyes at him as he leaves, heading to the Nether. He takes a deep breath before walking inside, Hels sitting on the couch. The knight looks over when the door opens, immediately standing when he sees EX.

"Exey..."

"Helsknight."

EX slowly closes the door, Hels taking a few steps closer.

"EX you're- I shouldn't-" He takes a deep breath, "I'm so sorry."

EX doesn't respond, watching the taller carefully.

Hels swallows the lump in his throat, trying to steady himself.

"I shouldn't have hit you. It was horrible and there is no excuse, the thought shouldn't have even passed my mind. I know sorry doesn't fix it, doesn't take back what I did but from the bottom of my heart I'm truly so sorry Exey."

"...You broke your promise."

He hangs his head in shame, "I know, and I truly regret it."

EX moves to stand in front of Hels, gently tipping his head up to meet his gaze, frowning at how tired the taller looks.

"You haven't been sleeping."

Helsknight smiles weakly, "I couldn't stop thinking about you."

EX hugs him tightly, "You're an idiot."

"I'm your idiot though." He holds the smaller close, kissing his head, "I'm so sorry baby."

"I forgive you, now lets get you in bed."

Hels nods and lets EX pull him into the bedroom. The two climb into bed, Hels holding the younger close.

"I love you EX."

"I love you too Hels."

The two slowly drift off to sleep, both sleeping peacefully for the first time in weeks.

"See X, what did I tell you."

The purple screen in front of the two disappears, Grian's eyes fading back to normal.

"Yeah yeah, you were right. I'm just glad hes ok."

"And he will be, those two will be just fine."

Xisuma smiles, "Thanks G."

"Anytime X."
