3rd Person POV

Grian and Impulse stand with Xisuma next to the rift. Season ten was just around the corner and two new hermits were being added. Grian bounces on the balls of his feet, excitement radiating off of him.

"I don't think I've seen you this excited since Pearl joined."

"I can't help it, one of my closest friends is joining!"

Xisuma smiles, "You're awfully quiet Impulse, you ok?"

"Yes, I'm excited but I guess a little nervous."

"I get that but I promise you, he'll like it here."

"I know he will."

"JOEL!"

Grian tackles the taller as he walks through the rift, knocking him to the ground.

"Hey Grian!"

"Dipple Dot!"

"Skizz!" Impulse hugs him tightly, "Welcome to Hermitcraft."

"You two are going to love it here! Once the season starts its a bit chaotic but you can do almost anything! And you already know most of the people!"

"Grian, let him up before you talk his ear off."

Grian gets off of Joel, helping him to his feet.

"I'm sure we'll love it G."

"Joel's right, besides we got you guys to help us."

Impulse smiles, "We're not starting for a few more hours, if you wanted to go see Tango and Zedaph?"

"Of course I do! Come on!"

As Impulse and Skizz walk away Grian turns to Joel, "Do you want to go find Scar? We could sneak attack him."

"Is that even a question?"

The two head off and Xisuma smiles, watching them go. Those two were going to be ok, everything would be ok.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Welcome everyone to the tenth season of Hermitcraft! I know we're all excited to get started but I want to introduce our new Hermits. SmallishBeans, aka Joel and Skizzleman." Xisuma gestures to Joel and Skizz as he introduces them, "Now remember to take your time and have fun. Oh and don't die! We want Demise to last longer then one day."
With that everyone goes their own ways, some going to do a mining expedition, others exploring the area and gathering resources. Our newbies of course are fitting right in with everyone, goofing off and having a good time collecting resources and getting to know everyone better.
As the day goes on though Joel can't help but feel a little overwhelmed. As he sets up in his little starter base on top of the hill he takes a deep breath, it was probably just all the excitement and chaos of the first day. He would be fine, he was fine.
A few days pass and the overwhelming feeling only seems to get worse. Sounds being too loud, every touch burning his skin. Joel places his blocks down, he needed a break, he needed to get away from the glaring sun. Crossing the mountain and carefully trudging down it he makes his way to Grian's cave, heading down to where the parrot has been vertical mining.
"Hey G, are you home?"
The parrot pops up from one of the mining holes, "Hey Joel, what's up?"
"I uh, I just wanted to..." Joel rubs his arm feeling a little embarrassed, "Never mind, don't worry about it."
"Joel, whats going on?"
"...Can I just sit down here for a little bit?"
"Of course, are you ok?"
"Yeah, no I'm fine." Joel sits on the cold stone, leaning back against the wall.
Grian moves to sit next to Joel, leaving space between them, "What's going on?"
"...I'm just a little overwhelmed right now."
"Oh Joel, why didn't you say something sooner."
He shrugs, "You know how I am."
"I do yes," Grian loosely takes his hand, "You need to come to me about this stuff."
"I will, thank you G."
"Anytime Beans."
Joel leans against Grian, the two just sitting there for hours, occasionally chatting. Joel was happy to be on Hermitcraft and he was happy Grian was here with him.
