Forever Bound

Chapter 9: Strix

Hayley is on a walk having a break from looking after Hope for a while when suddenly she hears a noise behind her, she doesn't think much of it since it's a public path so continues walking. Suddenly she's stabbed in the neck with a needle injecting wolfsbane and vervain and before she can fight back falls into the assaulters arms.

Back at the Mikaelson house Katrina is looking after Hope, watching her sleep when she gets a phone call, she looks at her phone and sees it's a 'No Caller ID'. She sighs and answers, "Hello?" Her tone is authoritative, "Why hello there" the voice on the other side replies back.

Katrina rolls her eyes recognising the voice as Tristan de Martel's, "How did you get my number, Tristan" she snaps.

"Woah, calm down, love just here to have a little chat" he says his voice smooth, Tristan had always had a crush on Katrina ever since they had met in the 1002 A.D, but too Katrina he was a mini Elijah.

Katrina sighed and groaned "I don't have time for your chat, Tristan" she goes to hang up and as if Tristan had sensed it he says "Oh come on now...how about you meet me, at the docks...I promise I won't try anything" he says his voice still smooth and warm.

Katrina rolls her eyes again "Why so you can flirt with me?" She says her voice is cold and emotionless unlike Tristan's, "I'm asking you a favour, please?" Tristan said not taking notice of Katrina's cold tone.

"Fine, I'll be there in 10 minutes" and with that she hangs up, she knocks on Freya's bedroom door.

Freya calls from inside her room "Come in!". Katrina walks into Freya's room, Freya is sat on her bed reading, she looks up at Katrina and smiles warmly "You've caught me reading.....How can I help you, little sister?" Freya asks softly.

Katrina looks back at Freya "Can you look after Hope for a bit, I have some business to attend too" yeah Katrina asked with a flat tone.

Freya raises an eyebrow but doesn't question what kind of "business" Katrina could be up too "Sure, I'll look after her", Katrina nods and walks out the room and then gets in her car and drives to the docks, in no rush to get there.

Once she gets to the docks she gets out the car, sees one of The Strix members waiting for her "Right this way, Miss Mikaelson" the man said and starts walking towards one of the storage container units, Katrina follows.

Once they're in there Tristan is stood there smiling "Hello, Katrina" Tristan says warmly some of the other Strix members come out, Katrina has her guard now wondering wether this is an ambush but kelps her cool composure.

"What do you want, Tristan" Katrina spat, her tone irritated and slightly angry, Tristan chuckles softly "I have something or someone you may want back" he says, his tone warm but mysterious.

Tristan snaps his fingers and two men come out holding Hayley by the arms, Hayley is very weak with the amount of dosage of vervain and wolfsbane she's had.

Katrina looks at her and raises an eyebrow for a moment and then looks back at Tristan who's smirking.

It's silent for a moment before Katrina speaks up "This is what you called me here for?" Katrina asks sounding amused, "We want the white oak stake and then we'll let her go" Tristan says slightly confused because Katrina sound amused.

Katrina chuckles and then laughs "You honestly think I care, about one of my brothers one night stands?" She says through laughter "If I cared for everyone my twin has slept with I'd be caring for half of the damn population" she soon calms down and her face and voice go back to their emotionless state "She means nothing too me....so kill her for all I bloody care" Katrina says her voice gone cold again.

Hayley glares at Katrina but Katrina doesn't even look at Hayley.

With that Katrina turns on her heels and walks out back to her car and drives home.

Once she gets home, she sits on the couch and leans her head back and shuts her eyes for a moment before getting up and going into the study.

She gets a book of the shelf and begins to read, Katrina starts to feel very fidgety and stands up and starts walking around the house still reading.

She then out the book down and her mind starts to think about Hayley wondering if she made the right decision a wave of guilt and regret washes over her and her breathing starts to get faster.

She makes herself some tea and it calms her down and she lets the warm liquid run down her throat.

She sits back down on the couch, now completely forgotten about the whole Hayley situation.

A few hours pass and Katrina has indulged herself in her book she hears the door open, It's Hayley.
