Chapter 10: Love Her

Hayley looks enraged, she storms over too Katrina "What the hell, Katrina!" Hayley snapped "You just left me there! With people who were going to kill me and you couldn't give a damn! I honestly thought we were friends but you don't seem to care about me!" Hayley shouts at Katrina.

Katrina goes to speak but Hayley cuts her off "You are demented and cruel and just-.... A horrible person!" This makes Katrina's heart feels like it's being ripped out of her chest, she knew it was a bad decision to leave Hayley with Strix but did it anyways.

Although Hayley's word cut Katrina like a knife, she didn't show it and just shrugged her shoulders.

Hayley is visibly upset and angry "You- You left me there, I didn't know what they were going to do too me! I thought I was going to die!" Hayley's says her tone and face full of emotion.

Katrina on the other hand still looked emotionless, but Katrina doesn't know how to feel the only feeling she's currently familiar with is self-hatred for leaving Hayley there.

Katrina goes to speak "I was doing it too protect my siblings, do you know how much power the Strix woul-" Hayley cuts her off.

"So this is about power then?!" Hayley snaps again, "No, My fam-" Katrina begins but is again cut off by Hayley.

"Don't give me some speech on how you had to do it too protect your family because I don't want to hear it, I needed to be saved and you didn't save me! So much for most powerful being in the world! You couldn't even look me in the eye when you said you didn't care about me, and I thought you would change after Hope was born, but you didn't you stayed the sick, twisted, demented psycho sister the world knows you too be..." Hayley's tone grew softer but still full of sadness the anger had subsided tears in her eyes.

Hayley goes to walk upstairs, "Hayley..." Katrina's voice was almost pleading but was still cold as it always was.

Hayley ignores her and goes into Hopes room to check on her daughter whom is sleeping.

Katrina felt like she may as well drop dead then and there, her emotions started to become overwhelming, she had no idea what she was feeling and why this upset her so much.

Many people had said those things to her but she had never felt this way before, this upset over a few words she was called as most of her life since vampirism so why was it Hayley that made her upset, why was it her that made her feels things she didn't want to feel.

Katrina goes upstairs after a few moments of pondering and walks into Freya's room.

Freya is startled by her door opening all the sudden, but then her expression softens once she sees Katrina, she had heard everything that had gone down downstairs.

Katrina lays next too Freya on her bed, Freya was confused by the sudden gesture but doesn't question it.

"What's wrong?" Freya asks Katrina softly, "Nothing" Katrina replies her voice monotone.

Freya sighs softly "Something bothering you, was Elijah or Klaus teasing you? Do you miss Rebekah?" Freya asks her voice softer than ever.

Katrina shakes her head, Freya doesn't want to push any further so goes to change the topic.

"You know apparently Klaus and Aurora are in love with each other" Freya states with a bit of a smirk, Katrina cringes.

"They had a fling more than one thousand years ago..." Katrina says still cringing at the thought.

"Love is a crazy thing" Freya says shrugging her shoulders, "I thought he was in love with Cami?" Katrina says.

Freya shrugs her shoulders "So did I....Maybe he's using Aurora to deny his feelings..." Freya says thinking out loud

Katrina sits up and looks at Freya "As much as I don't like Aurora I hope he's not using her, no deserves to be used" Katrina says her voice softening a little bit.

Freya notices the slight change in Katrina voice and smiles a little.

"You know for someone who who's never been in love, you sure have a lot too say about others...but I get where your coming from, and I'm glad you think that" Freya runs her hands through Katrina's hair and Katrina gets startled by it so Freya stops.

They sit there silent for a moment before Katrina asks "Have you ever been in love?" Freya's eyes widen slightly at the question but nods.

"Yes, I have" Freya states softly, Katrina looks at her for a few seconds wanting to ask a question but it's a bit personal.

Katrina asks anyway "This may be a bit...personal..but what does it feel like? To be in love?" Katrina asks her tone ever so slightly nervous not wanting to upset her sister and mutters "Sorry".

Freya senses her sisters unease but answers her question "No need to apologise your just curious" Freya says reassuringly.

She continues "It feels...euphoric, and exciting and when its a new feeling it can be very scary, but it's one of the best feelings a person can experience" Freya says smiling softly.

Katrina eyebrows furrow "How do you know you in love with someone?" Katrina asks her curiosity peaked for some reason.

Freya thinks for a moment "I suppose you'd feel, happier around them and if per say they'd be telling you a story about something you didn't care about you'd still listen...and you'd take everything they say I guess more seriously, and would be upset if they said something that you didn't think would hurt?" Freya states this knowing it's not the best explanation so it sounds more like a question.

Katrina nods and Freya smiles now that her sister understands.

They sit there for another few moments before Katrina's eyes widen and seems upset, Freya notices this and quickly has a concerned expression on her face.

"What's wrong?" Freya asked her voice filled with concern since Katrina looks on the verge of crying.

Katrina stammered and stuttered before blurting out "Hayley...".

Freya cocks an eyebrow "Hayley?" Freya's voice is still concerned, "What about her?" Freya asks confused.

I tear falls down Katrina's cheek "I love her".
