Katrina is walking down to the lake, in her desaturated green dress with a wooden two buckets in hand. She sees her little brother Henrik, sat leaning on his favourite tree. Katrina smiles and walks over "What did mother say about coming to the forest by yourself?" Katrina says to Henrik playfully. Henrik jumps startled by his older sisters sudden appearance. "I know" the ten year old boy replied. Katrina smiles at her brother, "I'm just teasing, I told mother and father that we were getting water together" Katrina says gesturing to the buckets in her hands. Henrik smiles "Thank you" he says softly. Katrina hands him a bucket and they start collecting water, Katrina chucks water at Henrik, he gasps but then bursts out laughing and chucks water back at Katrina. They spend half an hour chucking water at each other before Henrik puts his hands in the air, "Truce, truce!" He says. Katrina laughs "alright little brother....truce" she smiles at him they both then collect water and start walking back through the woods to get home.
Katrina then jolts awake, tears in her eyes, Hayley wakes up and notices.
"Hey, hey, what's wrong?" Hayley asks softly, Katrina wipes her eyes.
"Nothing..." Katrina says softly, Hayley's concern only grows.
Hayley sighs softly "Tell me....please" Hayley asks her voice soft but pleading.
Katrina tears up more "I-....It-" "Take your time" Katrina takes a deep breath.
"It was about Henrik....I-...I- I know it wasn't true but it felt so real.... It felt like I was 16 and-...with my youngest brother" Tears stream down Katrina's cheeks as she says this.
Hayley quickly wraps her arms around Katrina pulling her into a tight embrace.
Katrina sobs into Hayley's chest "I just want him back" Katrina sobs.
"Shh, it's okay" Hayley whispers softly to Katrina.
Katrina sobs again "I just want my baby brother...I just-" she sobs again.
Hayley strokes her hair trying to get her to calm down "Shhh, it's okay, baby" Hayley murmurs softly.
Katrina clings onto Hayley tightly her breathing ragged, "Shhh, breathe, I'm right here, I'm not going anywhere, I promise" Katrina continues to sob.
Hayley strokes her hair, "Shhh, It's okay, it's okay" Hayley murmurs, holding Katrina tight.
Katrina's sobs get quieter as she starts to calm down.
Hayley continues stroking her hair "It's okay" she murmurs again.
Katrina's sobbing stops and her breathing calms down but she still clings onto Hayley.
Hayley pull them both down so they're laying back, and Katrina's head is resting on Hayley chest.
"I'm right here, okay?, I'm not going anywhere" Hayley whispers softly stroking Katrina's hair.
Katrina nuzzles Hayley's chest and falls asleep again.
Hayley stays awake until 5am just in case Katrina wakes up again before drifting off to sleep.
