Chapter 28: Woods

(Authors note: Back in present time)

Katrina's Half:

Katrina is sat in her armchair, a cup of coffee in her hands. She's deep in thought, Freya sat opposite her.

Freya look up from the tea she is drinking and raising an eyebrow about her sister.

"Can you stop thinking about Hayley for one second? I mean I'm all for you and her being together but you literally cannot take your mind off her...and this is a very important task!" Freya says with a small smirk on her face.

"What- How would you know I'm thinking about Hayley?!" Katrina says putting her coffee cup down, and crossing her arm's defensively.

"The grin you have on your face, the way your eyes are sparkling, your legs are crossed, you're also staring into space...I could go on" Freya says her smirk growing, Katrina just shakes her head and take her coffee cup back in her hands and sips it.

Freya also sips her tea, "Back to the task at hand...we need-" she gets cut off by the door abruptly opening, Klaus walking through it.

Katrina and Freya both look over, Katrina almost has a smile on her face, wether Freya rolls her eyes.

"Klaus, can't you see we're doing something here?" Freya asks, her tone is annoyed, Klaus just smiles, but it's sarcastic

"You can have plenty of chit chat later, I need Katrina for something" Klaus says his sarcastic smile still playing on his face.

"What a way too ask me" Katrina mutters, sipping her coffee and sitting up right.

Klaus smile drops his face turning serious, "Well...our father...he's back" Katrina stands up, "And your telling me like this?!" Her demeanour changing to one of frustration but also...fear?.

Katrina's pacing around the room, "I need your help to find the witch that brought him back" Klaus says bluntly, Katrina sits back down "Why me?" She asks, "Because your the best hunter of the family".

She sits back down

"How do you even know it's him?" Katrina asks, her leg bouncing "Well who else is as ruthless as him? Someone has committed a massacre and...well they left this".

Klaus hands Katrina a arrow, an arrow that could only be recognised as Mikael's, Katrina examines it her fear more noticeable.

"What happens once I find the witch?" She asks twirling the arrow between her fingers, "That is up too you ..." Klaus pauses and looks over to Freya.

"But if we find Father..." Freya starts but pauses, "We're killing the bastard" Katrina says standing up and putting her jacket on.

Klaus looks between his sisters before speaking up, "I'll show you were he was buried and what we found" Freya also stands up, Klaus raises an eyebrow.

"Where are you going?" He asks Freya, "If it was a witch that brought him back...well I am one so, I can find out how he was brought back" Freya says, Klaus nods.

The three walk out the living room door, Klaus leads them to the basement of the Mikaelson Manor.

Once they're down there something immediately catches Katrina's eye, a flower...a Lathyrus odoratus also known as sweet pea.

She walks over too it and kneels down to pick it up and examines it.

Freya and Klaus raise an eyebrow and look at each other, as Katrina sits on the floor with a thump, staring at the flower.

"It can't be....surely not" Katrina mutters to herself, which peaks Freya's and Klaus' curiosity further.

"What is it, little twin?" Klaus asks, Katrina turns to Klaus and back at the flower.
