Forever Bound

Chapter 22: School

Katrina wakes up a bit startled by the fact she's in bed but sees Hayley is sleeping next to her.

She slowly gets out of bed making sure not too wake up Hayley, Katrina quietly gets changed and goes into Hopes room.

"Littlest wolf, it's time to wake up" She whispers softly waking Hope up, "Do I have school today?" Hope asks drowsily.

"Yeah, com let's get you some breakfast, hm?" Katrina says softly, Hope nods and walks downstairs with Katrina.

"What do you want too eat?" Katrina asks Hope, whom points at the cereal while rubbing her eyes.

Hope sits down on kitchen stool and Katrina puts the cereal in the bowl before adding milk, she gives Hope the bowl of cereal.

Hope starts eating as Katrina goes on her phone, looking too see if anything interesting has happened on Facebook (which Rebekah taught her to use).

Hayley comes downstairs, still in the clothes from last night she notices Hope is eating.

"Thank you" she murmurs to Katrina, and wraps her arms around Katrina's shoulder.

Katrina smiles softly at Hayley "I think you should get the child ready for school" she says to Hayley who smiles at her.

Hope is finished with her breakfast and Hayley holds out her hand for Hope to take and takes her upstairs to get her ready for school.

Katrina goes into the bathroom and brushes her teeth before going downstairs in her black t-shirt, crimson red leather jacket, black jeans along with black boots, and waits for Hayley and Hope.

They come down stairs, Hope is wearing a flower plaid dress with little shoes and white knee socks on along with a bow in her hair, and Hayley is wearing a light blue summer dress.

Katrina smiles at them both, they all get into the car and Hayley drives them to the Salvatore school.

Once they get there Hope is in awe about how big the school is, she holds Hayley's hand up to the fron of the school.

"Hello!" They hear a cheerful voice coming from the school front doors and see a familiar blonde, it's none other than Caroline Forbes.

Caroline walks up too them, Hayley smiles slightly and turns to Hope "This is Caroline...or do you go by Principal Forbes....or?" Hayley asks Caroline, who smiles "Caroline is fine" she says in a cheerful mood.

Hope nods, and looks at Caroline and waves, Caroline smiles "There's a man over there his name is Alaric, he's the other headmaster of the school" Caroline says.

Hope looks at the man and back at Caroline "Can you go wait with him?" She asks, Hope looks at Hayley, who nods in a way that says it's safe for her too go.

Hope runs over and groups up with all the other kids her age.

Both women turn to Caroline, who smiles at them "Hayley!" Caroline says cheerfully, Katrina tilts her head at Caroline.

"How can you own a school and be so cheerfu-" Katrina's sentence is cut off by Hayley nudging her in the ribs with her elbow, Caroline doesn't take notice if the comment.

"Caroline" Hayley says back, Katrina looks around, she hasn't been to mystic falls in centuries, it looks different, she looks at the forest.

"So uhm...who's this, if you don't me asking" Caroline says gesturing to Katrina, "This is Katrina, Klaus' twin sister...Katrina this is Caroline" Hayley says introducing the two.

"Klaus' twin? I've heard stories about you" Caroline says to Katrina her voice still cheerful, "All good I would hope, but we all know that isn't true" Katrina says.

Hayley facepalms and sighs, "She has no filter...like at all" Hayley says to Caroline, Caroline nods "I wouldn't have expected anything less from a Mikaelson" Caroline replies.

"She's also my girlfriend" Hayley says defensively not liking Caroline's comment, Caroline's eyes widen slightly.

"Your both together?! Not that's there's anything wrong with that! I-....I'm sorry you just caught me a little off guard" Caroline says her tone apologetic.

Hayley chuckles a little "Don't worry about it" Hayley turns to Katrina "I forgot my purse in the car could you go get it, please?" Katrina nods and goes to the car to retrieve Hayley's purse.

Hayley turns to Caroline "Uhm... I think it would be best if you kept Katrina away from Alaric because he tried to kill her siblings, she's really really protective over them and I know it was Esther's fault but...just in case" Hayley says, Caroline nods "That would be a good idea, yeah".

Katrina comes back with Hayley's purse "Found it!" Katrina says with a triumphant smile on her face.

"Thank you" Hayley says softly too Katrina, Caroline looks at them both "...How about a tour?".
