My head spontaneously turns to my side where a lovely couple is teasing each other while laughing. Standing outside the same barbeque restaurant, I decide to be a spectator and only stare at both of them. However, once they start to lean in closer to each other, I just know I've had enough and start to walk away.

Lovely my butt. How shameless of them to display affection in public?!

I huff.

Fine, I admit I am sensitive with couples.

To start with, let me introduce myself. I'm Kwon Iseul, a successfully single woman who is currently 28 years old. Even though I'm considered old, I think I'm fortunate enough not to have nosy people who keep asking about when I'm going to get married, where's my other significant and bla bla around me.

I'm not so lucky about my love life though.

I've never received a confession. Never once in my life. Well, I guess I'm not too likeable in school. I was told that I'll find a boyfriend in college so I didn't need to worry.

And that's a total bull spit!

Even on my first day at college, everyone had already had their partner. No one was available for a tiny leech like me. I remember going out for a blind date which my friend suggested for me, and I was stood up. Again, I was told to be patient and I'll be able to grab a partner in my workplace.

Yet that's also a total lie. Everyone was married and I had no opening to even interrupt their wedding life. Even today, my design company held a company dinner to celebrate our design for being chosen as the Jeju princess' gown dress on occasion of her marriage. I couldn't help but notice that I was the only one without a partner. Even the waiter took our order with his waitress girlfriend by his side. What a devastating life!

You know what's worse? Last week, I had a dream that I was married and since then, I started seeing couples everywhere I go!

"Ah!"

Being too lost in thought, I accidentally bumped into a woman. My hand knocks down her boba milk tea and it spills on her.

I widen my eyes in shock. Shoot!

"I am so sorry-"

"YEOBOOOOO!!"

My eyes twitch upon hearing the word.

"GWAENCHANAAA?!" A man suddenly appears out of nowhere, pushing me to the side and taking a closer look at the woman. The woman chuckles a bit before brushing the boba away from her dress.

"It's okay babe. It's not a big deal,"

"NO, IT IS! YOU NEED TO GO TO THE HOSPITAL!!"

Then the man did the unexpected. He carries her like a bag of potatoes and starts sprinting to God knows where. I'm left stunned at their behaviour. Slowly, I turn my head to see how other people react.
